Had a dream last night I went to Verizon and asked about the Galaxy Nexus. The manager pulled me aside and said she could sell me one but she would give it to me on the side of the building so to night alert everyone in the main area. Never had a dream about a phone before. I must really want this thing.
 
Great news guys. I found a progress bar to let us know when the GN goes on sale. It goes from 2 weeks to release date:

Been off the thread for two days. I don't understand what's going on. Verizon made a PR 12/6 that Verizon Wireless "does not block applications" . Now everywhere including this thread is saying that Verizon is blocking Google Wallet. What is going on?! :confused:

No news yet about the Galaxy Nexus, of course. Not surprising if the ISIS/Google Wallet rumor is true. If the device is ready for public consumption, it figures that Suit Bickering and greed is preventing its release.

This is good news for me, in a sense. We just found out that we'll know about our jobs in the first week of January. Since my wife and I have all of our eggs in one basket (we both work for the same bank), the news that week can range from great (we both keep our jobs) to so-so (one of us will lose our jobs) to total crap (we both won't have jobs). Due to this, I'm not going to get the Galaxy Nexus until we hear about our employment future. It would be irrespsible to spend $300 on a phone I truthfully don't need until I know what's going on, you know?

I think we're going to be fine, but nothing's guaranteed. I'm not worried about it because I can't do a single thing about it. Hopefully there's dual employment (and a Galaxy Nexus :D) in my future, but we'll know soon enough!

We can't stop anybody, but we do fairly well with the run, so TT is going to have to throw... should be interesting (we are using WR's as DB's right now!)
 
I wish Verizon would come out and say something cool regarding the gnex. Like we are proud to announce the Galaxy Nexus is ready to be released. And it will be as soon as AF hits 80k posts (and they get first dibs). :) I know it won't happened, just like an announcement from Verizon regarding the Nexus. Maybe tomorrow Verizon will give us something (sound familiar)?

I went to a vzw store yesterday to take a look at it. It's ok, but not much better than my TB. Each and every page of apps were loaded (and I mean loaded) with VZW bloat. It was such a turn off. Yes, the phone was quick and pretty but without root the device is totally useless to me.

Now with root and some custom roms it might very well be another story, but don't they have a locked bootloader? If it's not the GN then I'd have to wait for another device with an unlocked bootloader. If I couldn't get that ever again (and that seems entirely possible) then I would consider moving to another provider once this TB crapped out since I'm now only a couple of months away from my 4 lines being totally off contract.

This is how I feel, heck if no one is able to achieve permanent root and unlock the BL on the Rezound you could argue the TB is a more enjoyable device.

TB's will have ICS first ;)

I will give you 7.5 and put 500 in paypal right now. the pats D is horrible but Tebow is even worse. it wont even be close enough for him to have a chance to try and win it in the end.

The Pats defense is definitely lousy, but I don't see Tebow putting up the points to stay competitive. Denver's defense has been playing some spectacular ball these past weeks, really allowing a shaky quarterback to stay competitive with a couple TDs per game.

Say what you want about Grossman, but he does have a good game if he shows up and plays his best. Tebow showing up and playing his best means maybe 50% completions.

I don't see that lasting into games against the Patriots or in the playoffs.

I'm headed to the Bills game on Christmas Eve so I guess I'll get to judge him for myself.

If you really wanted GW (not sure why, but I'm not here to judge) you will prob be able to side load it once there are a few mods to it. GW is not the hold up no matter what you have heard or how many CSRs say so. Both VZW and Google knew about this issue well before the phone was sent out to stores and to blame the delay on that is ludicrous.

I am sure I am way ninja'd on this, but we need to see some documentation before ANY of us are going to believe this. We have been up and down this roller coaster too many times to fall for the proverbial cry of wolf at this point, so please offer some proof. Or please make the statement that in your opinion, the phone will launch Thursday. Unless you have proof, nothing is confirmed, like your first post said.
