***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I already have a charger in the living room, bed room, work, my car and my girlfriends car. So I'm not worried about possibly having to charge my phone somewhere.... only thing I am worried about is when I'll get a Nexus. :)

Was at BB store in Fairfield TWP (OH) and the mobile guy seemed to think (along with his "Best Buy Sources") that this phone will not launch until after Christmas. Which would make sense if big red wanted to open Q1 of next year with big numbers. But I call bull$|-|1+ on that one.

I'd say businesses Q4 numbers are more important that Q1 numbers, so I wouldn't put much stock into that.

I completely understand. I've been through the whole rollercoster as well. I will not post internal email about this because of my job placement. I will post pics of the phones though.

Totally understand. Pics of the phones are nice but honestly not really needed anymore as I think we all in agreement that stores have them. We just need to see them for sale! Thanks though.

This right here is why I don't expect to see it this week. If there is a chance the date can be delayed, you can bet Verizon will delay it. Until a date is solid, internally and revealed to the public, I believe Verizon will continue to push it back. They said the end of the year and they've already lost xmas sales, what incentive do they have to release it anytime before the 31st?

You mad, bro? :D

OT Homeland

Anyone else find it odd/piss them off that everyone calls Nick Brody "Brody"? Even his wife calls him Brody. Uhh, hello? That's your last name too...Your calling your husband your last name? Awkward...

Oh I think anyone in this thread has forfeit all right to mock Apple fans for getting hyped up over a device.

I don't mock them because of hype, I mock them because of the odd undying blinding devotion that causes them to refuse that there are _any_ faults with any iDevice.

I don't think the GN is a perfect device, It has its faults, as does essentially every device currently manufactured. However, obviously if you don't have an iPhone you just don't have a phone ....

So I just got off the phone with Verizon...

In case you or anyone else is curious, porting a number *does not* delay shipping. They input the information for the port and then send you the phone. Once you activate the device, then it could take 3-24 hours for full completion of the port, but a lot of the times it is instant.

That is what the sales rep just told me. Hope this helps.

In the meantime, waiting for activation to occur, use SipDroid/Pbxes.org/Google Voice {gtalk}....to make/receive phone calls.

Well Cheetara just texted:

I just realized I don't remember what I heard or who I heard it from.

I don't like this ride anymore.

You can't live and die on every report. I'm not good at much in this world, but the one thing I do well is make odds. And I have it releasing this week at about 40 percent. Before we started to get bad news last week it was at 30 percent.

I can't condone this. For relatively seasoned shooters, sure. But he's just starting out...My opinion, stick with Sig (as noted above) if you can afford it, or HK or Glock. Easy to shoot, reliable as hell.

Having said the above, I own several 1911s that I dearly love.

Let me know if anyone needs replacement grips for their 1911 (my dad makes them, but stopped selling them wholesale...does when requested, now.)

Android has those people too. They are called fanboys, and every company has them.

Just got off the phone with my local Verizon CSR at Costco. He said that the date they have is the 15th. However, he said a lot of times (with other hot phones) they only get about 10 phones in and then will get around an additional 40, a couple of days after the release. My Costco is no joke in size and is located in a busy metro area. He stated that Costco has opened early (9:45am instead of 10:00am) in the past, specifically for phone releases. He said to be safe, get there at 9:45. He stated that he and his team get there at 9:30am on release days. I'm planning on 9:30am.

He also stated that they will be selling it as a package with additional accessories (screen protector, car charger, etc.) $289 as mentioned before.
