Well the info is coming in again, definitely not floodgate opening levels like it was for the 9th, but we are two days closer, and we have the gag order to contend with. I think its gonna happen.

I also am just planning for target shooting. that MP9 is definitely a nice looking gun.

Im a Gun guy. I'm into Glocks and recommend the 9mm versions to all new shooters. Start with a Glock 19, buy 1000 rounds and take a training course. Then you can gradually move into the more powerful calibers. I personally carry a .40, Glock 23. Best weapon I've ever owned.

The AR is my choice of carbine as well. Big discrepancy on brands, some are real junk. I'd stick with Bravo Company(my personal brand), Daniel Defense, or Colt. I'm definitely looking to start with a 9 or a .45 (call me ambitious) i just can't stop thinking about my friends .45 that i shot recently a Springfield XD, that thing was great. Also liked my other friends Ruger 9mm, buttery smooth.

I won't lie, i definitely have had my eyes on some 1911s, they are gorgeous but carry a big price tag as well, its definitely a gun thats on my "wish list"
 
OT: Guns

I will repeat what others stated, take a training course! Then find a range where you may rent multiple firearms. Take your time and find Out what YOU like best. I agree start with a small caliber, manage it and then move up. Sig and Glock all make solid firearms, I prefer HK myself.

Congrats on your new sport, take your time, never stop learning.

I agree that people should have some training if they're going to own a gun. I got mine in the Military.

Personally, I prefer the XD over the Glock.

Mosin Nagant is a great rifle for $99.

OT Firearms


[Hide]+1 for the XD. Mine is the .40 variety. Also have a Ruger Redhawk .357 revolver and a few rifles. Love my Browning Gold Evolve 12 ga. for skeet and bird hunting.

Not everyone is saying the 15th, most are either saying that, or they don't know. And some are saying next week or later. But it's hardly a lock with nothing official from verizon and their track record of delaying this release.
 
My store is still confirming the 15th. Called a couple others and a RS and they are saying the same thing. Could it really be about to happen? Could our dreams be finally coming true? I will definitely be going to my store tomorrow to serif there is a soft launch by some chance. If not, COME ON THURSDAY!!!
 
Im contemplating flashing my eris back to stock and unrooted for the last day before i get the nexus, for old times sake. Unfortunately I dont want to end up having to reroot and reflash if thursday comes and goes without a nexus
 
I have a final at 10:15am Thursday! I'm gunna try to ninja myself a nexus at the Verizon store before heading to school.

I totally disagree with you on that math part.
I can tell you that as a programmer with more than 10yrs experience (none of it professional), none of the math classes I've taken in my CS degree so far have helped me as far programming as concerned. And if you ask me it's a big waste of time :P
