Hello.
Okay... Where to start. First of all I read all the How To's and pretty much did every search possible. I have successfully rooted the phone using Gingerbreak. SuperOneClick just did not work. At this point I just want to flash a recovery. I downloaded ROM Manager v4.8.0.7 from the market and flashed ClockworkMod 3.2.0.1. I tried several times to back up the OE ROM and can't figure it out. I am suppose to unzip two files to SD card, flash.img and thunder something or the other. The flash.img is good, I found an unzipped file somewhere. The other one unzips to a zip file on the SD card. I that right? Tried several downloads.
I quess my question is... Is there another way to backup the phone stock ROM without those files, a kind of "All-In-One thing" with no file unzipping to SD?
Is that what ROMTools does, If so, shoud I uninstall ROM Manager?
Basicly, what is the easiest way?
I am not sure if I am going to do custom rom or just delete the bloatware crap off the phone. I did download a "Stock OS minus Bloatware" Rom, just want make sure I got a way to go back if I mess up.
I am new to this, kinda, I did install a custom ROM (Uberoid) on two Ebay Android tablet that came with a crappy OS on them. And that worked out fine... after six hours of messing with it to find the right one. I did not have to back that up because I didn't like the stock crap and fake market.
Usually, I can do the research and figure it out, this part has me just flustered. Any Help inpointing me in the right direction would be great. If it makes a difference, Android version is 2.2.1.
Thanks
