I gave up on the Linux installer from the market. It keeps trying to install to the internal memory of my phone and when I try to install to sdcard,I get nothing but errors. So I'm back with the Android Linux Version. Which was the one I had success with on Froyo. I'm Going to keep trying. Thanks.

Um under the options menu u.can install to SD card I've done it many times but if u already have the arm images u just need to mount loop then configure it from there I've had it working many times on both gb and froyo

At this time None of the compiled from source kernels will boot, which is one reason OC is not possible.

I know this but I also rembered if u build a kernel it has to be in the device ur building it for I've built many custom kernels for my PC's regarding OS and I've always read u can't take some.from one mechanism and run it in another with out rebuilding fir example I build the kernel on my linux system x64 this kernel is for a phone prevail well its not gonna work u have you build it on the device your wanting maybe ill check out the kernel and give.it.a Go but right now I'm messing.with ics 9cm and trying to.jailbreak NY Xbox and ps3

Good Luck, we need as many people working on any customization as we can get.
:)

All you have to do to get the version provided by the Androidlinux site to work is download busybox from the market(dont use busybox installer), update busybox, follow all the steps that they give you, then follow remaining steps.

EDIT: I got it to boot, but appearantly there is no longer support for it. All up the packages needed will not install. Openssh-server, and tightvnc. I get a bunch of errors from the repo, and then they fail and tell me to try running apt-get update or try with --fix-missing. Haven't figured out away around this, but I will keep working on it.

I am using the UbuntuARM image and install steps found here:

YEAH! Thanks for working on this for me, from everything I've read in the thread it looks like it could work. But I'm not programmer yet! I still have a few years. :P

Years? I'm giving you only 6 hours to get your EABI cross compiler configured.

Chop chop, you're on the clock :D
