Root [ROM] Preludedrew's ICS-March 28-Alpha1

I have tried all three of the different ICS ROM's out there and there is a common problem with them, on my phone anyway. They all work well most of the time but then all of a sudden my phone goes into a continual boot loop. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why this happens. Sometimes it seems when I'm plugged in to the usb of my computer that makes it boot but other times not??? Also when the screen does dark sometimes that trigger a boot loop as well. Am i missing something in my setup??? Any help would be great.
 
Do you have a different MicroSD card you can try? I had a corrupt SD card before and it caused a lot of problems for me.

Do you have it oc'ed in any way? Sometimes overclocking can put the phone into bootloops. I haven't had an issue with bootloops with any of the ICS roms.

Nope, no overclocking. Day two running the ROM has settled down a bit, no boot loops yet this morning.

That could be it too. Just let the rom settle in first before getting excited:p You can always wipe cache and dalvik cache in recovery. This may help if you experience some boot loops again;)

Lol. I finally did, just to follow this. It confuses me. When I type something, it always seems to go to the wrong place. Still trying to get it figured. Makes little sense to me. Sure wish drew would use Google+ ;). (Which also kinda confuses me, but seems a little more straightforward, ok, I'm an idiot).

All that outta the way.....lovin p7. Excellent build. In contacts, Facebook syncs contacts, but then I noticed my 'Me' contact was empty. Then after signing into Google+, it fixed my 'Me' in contacts. And the contact sync interface in ICS is nice.
 
Call me biased, but honestly, I've only run drews builds. Haven't felt the need to try others, as I get just as good performance from drews as I ever do from a Gb rom. Also, for me, battery life is more important than speed, and on p6 I was getting better battery than I EVER got on GB. But, I flashed the new 12.19 radio when I flashed p7. Getting worse battery,...but may be the new radio. Haven't reverted radio cuz flashing radios always makes me queasy.

How are the other devs builds treating you? In particular, flash and gallery? You notice any build better than drews on those fronts? Flash seems hit or miss, same with gallery. Also, when typing in the browser(like right now) it gets really sluggish can't keep up, is that on other builds?
 
in P6 my gallery would only work half the time when i looked through it but in p7 that issue seems to have been fixed for me and battery life seems amazing
 
I've been rocking Drew's p7 for two days now. My battery life has been MUCH better than with other ICS ROMs. Gallery had been a tiny bit buggy. But once I set Hide It Pro as my default video and picture viewer no more problems. I was having a few lag issues, but I wiped cache and dalvik cache and it was fixed. Aside from those two small issues, i've had no problems at all. And I'm overclocked as much as possible with smartass v2 governor.
 
Is wireless tethering working on Rom ICS 2.1.0 Preview7? if so can someone post. I tried it but getting error both with the wireless tethering apps
 
Flashed this on Friday and am loving it, the only issue I havethat may keep me from making it my daily is the vid camera. With a four month old i kinda need to be able to break that out in a hurry. The only other issue i have had is the wall paper is a little unstable and reverts to a solid white background on occasion. Kepp up the good work and am looking forward to a follow up with more great stuff....

Is the calendar just extinct. I am still on P5 because when I flashed the new builds and new gapps the calendar is no longer there. This is something I need and it has kept me from using the new builds. Also I'm wondering if I flash the older gapps if the calendar would work. Any suggestions?
 
I realy love this rom ICS 2.1.0 Preview7 but I am having freezing and occasional rebooting also voicemail issues. I tested it for one day and then I have to give up do all the wipes still no love from this rom. I have test a few different preview and i do love what i see i hope the final release will be soon and also a Sense base will come out, my prefered rom "Mik ICS rom!!!!!!!"

How did you get calendar working on P7? The app isn't even there when I flash it, maybe I have bad gapps.

I haven't ran any of his newer ones but I ran his first and Drew's were a lot better in my opinion. I would love to hear some one eles input though.
