Found a permanent fix for this Incompatible Problem.

1. Open Setting -> Applications ->All
2. Select "Market" & Clear Cache First If Any, Then Clear Data
3. Go Back To Settings -> Applications -> All.
4. Clear Data From "Google Service Framework"
5. Use ROM Toolbox(Any Program That Allows You To Change LCD Density) And Change LCD Density
To 240.
6. Reboot Phone, Open Market To Go To Settings And Make Sure Build Version Is 3.4.4.
If Not, Wait 3-5 Minutes And It Should Be.
7. Problem Solved In GSE. 1.5 Or Any ROM With LCD Density Other Than 240.

Will Also Work With ROMs That Don't Show All Downloadable Apps In Marketplace Like Facebook.

My backup dosent show up in Rom manger or ToolBox Pro????? Help

I hate when people ask me these question as usually it is an obvious answer but when u go to the browsers, did you go to the internal AND external SD Card for the ClockworkMod Folder?
If so, have u Formatted Internal Or External AS Card? Have You Possibly Deleted This Folder?

My buddy just installed this ROM a couple days ago. Ever since then, his phone has stopped sleeping. Using BetterBatteryStats, it only shows 2 things that are holding wakelocks: "Check In Handoff" and "Event Log Handoff".

I thought this might have something to do with Latitude and Google Maps, but so far I've updated/reinstalled those without any success. The phone still won't sleep and doesn't last much more than 4-5 hours on a full charge.

Additionally, I have this from the logcat:

All of these messages seem to keep scrolling by in a loop. I'm sure that some are OK, but i'm not sure why this:

W/GoogleAnalyticsTracker( 7694): java.net.ConnectException: www.google-analytics.com/208.82.100.156:80 - Connection refused

Keeps running and getting rejected.

The ROM seems to have fixed his constant 3+ times a day reboot issues, but now the battery is so bad that he's thinking of switching phones again.

After installing this ROM, some items such as the dial pad are off-centered. Is this normal?
If you installed the 1.5 that is because the screen density is set to 220. If you want it centered go into rom toolbox and scroll to the right once. Click on build.prop tweaks. Move the LCD Density slider to the right and stop at 240. That is the default for the Esteem. That should fix your issue.

OK, I did some more research and it appears that the Google Analytics errors might be caused by an add blocker or altered host file for the ROM. It sounds like this shouldn't be a big problem, but it is odd that Google Analytics keeps trying to reconnect every 3 seconds or so.

I fully uninstalled Maps and Street View and the phone still would not sleep. So those have now been reinstalled.

the host file is in system/etc, which is all adblockers change anyhow.

OK, I found one more thing to try: Clearing data for the Gmail app. We'll see how that goes.

Also I asked him if he followed all of the instructions that were posted here in the OP. He said yes, but then I asked him if he did a factory reset (called 'WIPE DATA!!!' in the OP) and he said "no, it didn't make me". So then I asked him what he did when he got to the instruction that said to wipe data? He said he didn't know what it meant (new to Android) so he just skipped it. I told him that he should have asked (me or the forums).

So apparently his issues are likely caused by flashing GingerSteem Extreme 1.5 directly over Stock ZVB without wiping. I guess that 'WIPE DATA!!!' is clear to most experienced flashers, but for those who are new to flashing, it might be more clear to say 'Wipe Data/Factory Reset!!!' and 'Don't skip this!'. He was also a bit confused about why it said not to wipe data after flashing the ROM but I tried to explain it to him.

yea, wiping data is a give n take really. I flash over all the time with no issues, but first time I leave that step out in any instructions everyone has problems lol.

Total newbie here. Give it to me like I'm a 2 year old. I've got the zip file on my SD card. I have wiped my data. Gingersteem isn't installed. "Install zip file from SD card" means nothing to me." I tried rooting, installing a ROM toolbox and installing the rom that way. It reboots 100 times but doesn't work. I assume there is supposed to be some way to flash the rom from some boot screen or some way to get it to flash automatically upon some evil magic voodoo boot.

In any case it should be in the instructions. Please and thank you in advance.
