***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

Ugh, no internet for the past 3 days has driven me crazy. Havent been able to read the thread updates every morning... :(

Anyway, I was near a Verizon store the other day so I figured I'd go in and heckle the employee about our favorite phone. Interestingly, when I asked him about the N1 he responded "Hah, you must be a Verzion employee." Nope. He seemed shocked and quickly contradicted himself and said he didnt know what I was talking about and gave me the shpeel about how he doesnt read Engadget blah blah. But he did level with me and said he hadnt received training for either the Incredible or N1.

And here is the interesting part: When I asked him how I'd be able to get my hands on the N1 when it was "officially announced" he said that Id be able to come in and get it through the store... Does this mean Google might switch distribution channels?

Also Nexu's and the sales channel go hand in hand, its how you get one and its how you get a Nexus serviced. So don't get all pissy you make a dig at me about "this is about the phone not how they sell it" and I respond in kind. If you don't like people treating you as you treat others thats on you and no one else.

Whatever, I never said the google sales channel was good for consumers, didn't even offer an opinion. I simply linked a rumor like hundreds linked in on this board that has something in some way shape or form to do with a point of interest to the Incredible... and you copped an attitude about it. Now take you ball and go home!

So you're changed your position that the sales channel and the Nexus's have nothing to do with each other? Because my supposed "attitude" comes from you wanting to talk about a phone that is not the Incredible and then just getting upset because I treated you in kind.

Yeah, but this guy likes to FLOG newbies! I APPRECIATE this guy's wealth of information, but, jeez, communicate in a little gentler manner! I hate when people talk to me like I'm am idiot.


I am excited to see if all the rumors pan out. If the Nexus One IS available in a brick and mortar store, then we have a shooting match. I just am anxiously awaiting news on any front so I can finally participate in the Android BUZZ!
 
Is hatestmobile an iPhone user? that would explain a lot. android envy has serious side effects so lets cut him a break guys...
 
1. Post count/"newbie"ness is irrelevant other than not having the post history to back up your wealth of knowledge. There are plenty of <20 post count people that know far more than half the 500+ people we have.

2. Calm down guys. Be civil to each other, please. Don't pick fights, and don't get drawn into them. Use the report button if you need to.

3. Please keep all future replies on topic and polite. Take the out of control bickering to PM if you must.

This thread is *incredible* (HA!) and closing it would be a shame. Please don't make me scrutinize the past couple pages to see who started what and who deserves what, etc etc. It'd be much more fun if everyone just dropped it and got along - or at least ignored each other.

I'm all for creating another thread that talks about the Incredible only, no N1, no Desire, no Supersonic, no Shadow, except in the context as it might relate to the Incredible!

This thread has gotten so large because of off topic conversation, that it is a pain to read some times. Why do I continue to muddle through it? In hopes of extracting out bits and pieces of conversation relating to the Incredible, and the bits and pieces are getting smaller.

I think most of us know enough about the phone now to keep the thread on topic? :)
 
Yeah, someone with more time (and initiative) than myself should start a "What we know today" thread that summarizes the chronological history of information. It would be great if the person also visited here at least every day so they could keep the first post updated and current.

Who's up for it? :)
 
Guys, just chill. I know I'm a noobie too but honestly, you guys are going no-where in your bickering. Lets, instead, put all that arguging-energy towards trying to find more leads and leaks for the Incredible. We don't want the mods coming in here and regulating. Were all here for the phone - not to show up another member.

Judging on what you said earlier about him having no clue about the N1 or Incredible, I wouldn't take much out of it. I'm sure he's just saying that because that is the "normal" way of sales and every phone that employee has sold, has been done through that: through the store. As a ex-retail worker, I can tell you that when we are unsure, we just fall back onto a "reasonable" answer that were familiar with.

Yes, the title of this thread is a bit deceiving. We are basically talking about the Incredible, what pertains to the Incredible, Incredible rumors (pun), and the Incredible's competition. By all means, start a new thread...I'm sure many people would like that instead of our very general thread.

P.S. it is amazing all of the jokes and puns you can make with this phone's name.
 
I'm in favor of a new thread as well. Maybe titled "Incredible Rumors/Leaked Info" because this thread title is a bit impractical. If this is the Official HTC Incredible thread, then whats the point of any other thread in this forum? The title essentially is blanketing everything else that should be posted. Instead, make a new thread with a more specific title.

Edit: and if a new thread is indeed made, the OP should put a disclaimer to keep the thread on topic.
 
I have to say Bravo for everyone contributing all the news we Desire. May we hear something this March that is just Incredible
 
hm... not for a while. And not everyone has seen it. A lot of traffic was directed here after it was already deleted by the HTC employee. I'm just giving those a chance who actually want to see it to see it.

No disrepect, really. But, um, yeah, another thread that I'm sure no one will bring up other subjects. :rolleyes:

While I like the idea of dedicated threads, I hate the idea of more threads.

Really, people complain about the clutter (including me), but it really isn't that hard to click on LAST PAGE and read the latest.

One cluttered thread is easier than looking at multiple threads like

"official Incredible thread"
"latest incredible thread"
"incredible news only thread"
"incredible release date thread"
"incredible specs thread"
"look what I found out today thread"
