Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

I tried.changing themes for zeams launcher,
Didn't work.
So I used go launcher then I deleted zeam... From crashed.
Anything that I didn't do right or suggestions?
Love the rom by the.way
I just wanted to make everyting into a matrix/green theme. XD
 
i would make sure you convert go to system app..sometimes the launcher can act weird if its on the sd..atleast it has for me

move the go launcher apk to /system/app and see how it does there

settings are the same as i posted above.

you could try starting fresh and use odin to Gingerbread EJ06 Rooted with CWM then upgrade CWM to hroarks newest version and flash CTMod. Don't use any other kernels or mods other then what comes with the CTMod tho and see how your battery life is then

I tried calibrating the battery with an app today but still draining.
I only use the phone for browsing
And downloading.

If you go to (Settings - About phone - Battery use) It will list what is eating your power. Cell standby and Phone idle are both really high on mine, so you can probably ignore them. If you see something like Wi-fi, bluetooth, GPS, up really high, that might be your culprit.

I'm sure i'll get a dozen replies telling me otherwise, but with CTMod 2.5, JuiceDefender doubles my battery life. From 10pm last night till 10am today i've only lost 4% battery with the radios turned off.

I live about 5 miles away from the nearest cell tower, and my signal is spotty all through the house. When i do get signal, it's full bars, but if i'm at my computer it's nothing. I've heard that the cell radio constantly trying to reconnect all the time can eat battery life. Had an old Razr phone that would go from full battery to dead in one night, but wouldn't lose half the battery at work during the day even with me using it as a clock. Was having the same issue on my stock Prevail, so i started modding it. Now it lasts 3-4 days without charging.

Yes I know it's a shameless plug for an app i like. Yes I know i'm probably completely wrong. Just relaying my experience.

Hey Blood..i know i asked you about themes a while back..so sorry ahead of time dude.:D.but what programs did you use to make your themes?

One BIG problemo blood.
I did that.
And I set it to be the main launcher...
It caused my phone to crash.
Kept force closing.
It has something to do with zeam, or clearing dalvik.
Because once I set go to defaul and I force closed zeam so it wouldn't run in the background it happens.
Clearing dalvik has also seamed to cause crashing too.
PS. I did change permissions and owner to go launcher when I put it to system.

not sure if this will work but if you still have zeam on your phone uninstall go launcher

download go launcher from here GO Launcher v2.79 | GO Launcher | GO?? GO Launcher v2.79 | Offical blog of GO Launcher on to your computer

open the apk file with 7zip and go to the lib>armeabi folder and pull out the 2 .so files

place the golauncher.apk and the 2 .so's on your phones sdcard

use root explorer or some file manager like it and move the apk to /system/app/ make sure the permissions match everything else and move the .so's to /system/lib/ and match the permissions there too. boot into CWM and clear dalvik and see how it does
 
Yo wussup bloodman, dude, im a noob at all this, but i gotta say, you have made my android a super phone! im runnin ct mod 2.5 with the 1.3 kouma kernel, wp7 theme and man oh man is my phone bad.... dude, i gotta say, battery life was affected when i did the upgrade of the kernel... idk if its the rom update or kernel but my battery life whent from cool to kinda cool....i actual got a battery from the samsung admire as it runs 5.92 Wh rather than the oem Prevail battery which runs 5,52 wh i believe... any upcoming roms? kernels>? themes? or is this phone pretty much done with all the tweaks... i was reading about cm9. ics? is it possible?? one love man..!:)

I've been working on porting a rom. Its not ICS or CM9 but its one of the most popular roms out =p

I'll post some screenshots sometime once i get more shit fixed in it

I learn as I go so it gets hard at times lol. I've almost given up on alot of mods and fixes before

hey blood...i added my wallpaper to the res folder inside my uot zip..but when i flashed it didnt change..any suggestions..?:confused:

your wallpaper is the same as what bro? was it the CTMod wallpaper or a wallpaper you set?

the default wallpaper is only used if no other wallpaper is set

it was a wallpaper i set with zedge..so after i flashed the uot zip with the new wallpaper in it..booted up and it was the same wallpaper i had..t

like i said, the default wallpaper is only used if no other wallpaper is set

if you did a factory reset or installed the rom with your framework in it you'd see your new wallpaper then
