True, although root shouldnt had anything to do with it getting bricked, still fault would lay with the OP as he voided the warranty, 'technically'technically you would be at fault
your phone was rooted, and you rooted it
how did the employee brick your phone? thats what has me all confused
edit:
if it was rooted they shouldnt touch it, however if he didnt know then thats a different story, and it all relies on the store, if he knew and worked on it, i would think he should have partial blame, but not full, as you were the one who rooted it... sorry bud

I took my Rooted LG Esteem Phone to the Metro PCS Store to have them look at my You tube App because it would only Stream on Wifi, One of the employee there bricked my phone Who is at fault?

Technically and legally the employee is at fault. Would you be at fault if you customized your car, took it to an auto technician to have some unrelated work done and he blew your engine? Didn't think so.
EDIT: In any case Metro owes him no less than a new handset if the other one cannot be fixed.
If the OP presented the phone issue differently I'm sure the help would have been different.Last time i check when you buy a new car any customizing you do on performance voids your warranty. & it has to be taken to an Authorized dealer you brought it from.Technically and legally the employee is at fault. The device being rooted or not makes no difference, the employee bricked the phone and therefor MetroPCS is liable for the cost of replacement.
EDIT: And if you bring your vehicle in to a mechanic because you are having a problem they would do a diagnostic before performing any work, and you would have to sign off on any work that is to be done.

It's not very clear and he hasn't come back to clarify, but if he didn't tell the rep the phone was rooted, the rep tried to fix it and bricked it, wouldn't the rep replace it under warranty? I assume the only thing he told the rep was that he was having problems with Youtube. If he left it at that, how would the rep know it was rooted and out of warranty?
Gets back to square one and solves any issue created by reckless downloading.Idk, maybe I'm too suspicious .. but I'm calling b.s. on this whole story. Main reason being.. how did the Rep brick the phone? Only thing I can think of is he tried a factory reset.. however cwm recovery would have came up when he tried. Don't you think at that point the Rep would have handed the phone back and said sorry, can't help ya?
Its just an inconceivable story is all. Unlikely in the very least. I'd like to know exactly how the phone got bricked.
