some ppl like the aio rom toolbox offers. I like rom manager but barely use it. I like to manually do my backups and rrestores from cwm.

hey just a heads up i was having some problems with the exe drivers file provided in this thread, but i got the one from pg's aio its an .msi file seems to work better for me

I've never used and will never use any app to do/restore my backups, just CWM and the old school method.

my phone after the update nd the hard reset has been lagn it way too much. wat can i do? i hadnt root yet bcus i think iwna stick with the stock D for a while bt i sure do want it to be smooth like every one is sayin it has been for them

yeah.. you shoulda wiped BEFORE updating... doesn't even make sense to do it afterwards... lol i did wipe of everything, then powered device off from recovery and did the update and honestly i must say.... WOW lol very smooth, even with all the extras added i am slightly immpressed and my anger towards lg has lowered a tiny bit lol

battery life seems to be outstanding.. i been playing music all day at work ( roughly 4-5 hours straight) charged it on the ride home but i mean its still over 80% so thats a plus for mee!!! specialy with no root yet

i like what they were thinking with adding the music and video player through google, but theres 2 BIG reasons why it was a terrible idea lol

1. we now have 2 music apps and video apps lol
2. the new ones aren't as cool as the stock lg ones.. lol
but i do like the UI of the google play music app just can use the friggin lockscreen widget with it so it's literally POINTLESS!!!!! unless you have custom lockscreen than i suggest using it over the LG music player

all n all the update seems like it was a smart choice take the good with the bad i guess... but thats what ROOT is for

If I remove ROM Toolbox and ROM Manager will CWM be removed also since it is in those packages?

Thanks guys updated mine and the wifes last night. Seems more responsive. Testing the battery today. I think I'm going to wait for official rooms and kernels for zvd, it's just running too smooth right now. Made a backup and getting ready to remove bloat.

Boot into recovery with vol/power(I cheat and use quickboot
Use your volume rockers to navigate within recovery

yea i get m8. but u noe what i actually did a hard reset. nd everything was there like i had just bought new. bt the only problem i had was while doin the update . my stupid sd card got fryd. i guess bcus it says scanning the media files . nd it takes round 2 hrs to complete thn i go to the astro to see i have both internal nd external card bt no i only have the internal. so im guessin sumthing happn while updatin nd since i took out the sd card phone seems to be real smooth i havent actually try batt so far bcus i went out with brly charge bt il see tomorrow . nd yea u riight bout the 2 music md videos app lolz ..

That happens to me Almost all the time, and alll i do to fix it is Shutdown and Reboot the phone and it Reads and Both Internal and External SD Card better and faster...

wats up bro i try out gse 2 with homeless kernel 1.3 it work pretty good also ldk ick 1.4 / ld lg ick 1.7 so far I tested those and they all work really good. kinda late on all this post my wife's is due any day so kinda bze around the house imma try to stay updated as much as I can
