Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

I tried Beats when you first got it working . I didn't notice anything until I installed the EQ . I think that's where the difference is . :D


EDIT : That's an interesting read too , Bloodawn . I just got through going over it .

This is most certainly unrelated... I recently put poweramp on my nephews galaxy player and the volume went completely insane, it would go to full audio volume at about half the indicated volume, then go up and down the higher i turned the indicated volume up. So after googling it, I found a setting called "direct volume control" was enabled, so I turned it off and it fixed the volume. Here's what i found:

Poweramp 2.x uses Direct Volume Control by default on 2.3+ mid-to-high end devices. On stock ROMs this produces much better audio output. But many custom/buggy ROMs, while supporting DVC, can fail with it.

On my prevail, the option for direct volume control was greyed out, and said "not supported in rom." Maybe whatever the beats audio mod does has to be supported by the rom before it has any effect.

LMAO !!!! Man , I know what you're talking about . My wife has gotten ill at me more than few times over this damn phone . :eek:

I just tell her to get over it and accept it because I love messing around with this phone . Heck , it's not like I'm out at a bar getting drunk and chasing women or something . lmao !! :D:p

Fixed updating contacts force-close
Removed the In Call Screen lock
Removed Mobile AP
Removed Hiddenmenu (since it no longer works)
Fixed Volume
Brand new MIUI File Explorer (lighter, faster, root explorer can be enabled, no annoying update pop-up, FTP)
Upgraded to the official KoumaKernel 2.1 (fixed version. Yes the app/data mods are included this time)
Added CTMod Settings to Settings
Added a Clock next to the Date in the notification drop down
Swype can now be added like any other app, the fix is no longer required.
Misc Tweaks
Cleaned and Optimized some files
Completely redid the Removed Apps zip (I removed any app from it that can be installed with the market. I removed useless shit from it that nobody will ever want or need. Every app in it has been tested and works)
Other random changes

Themes are going to need updated for this version. I don't know when I'm going to update WP7 right now.

Thanks, I have the latest PRL, however, going forward am I going to be stuck with it? Or by the time I am going to need an update (e.g., a couple of months) a new version that supports updating might be available?

BTW, I love both CTMod and Koumakernel!!! THANKS!!!!
 
I've just installed 3.3 and noticed that it uses KK2.1, I've been using DTa2sd til now and was wondering if ctmod will automatically install my apps to the sd-ext. I know KK has it's own thread but am asking here in case something is different or was changed.

naw, I think someone made a script that enables the serial mode needed for CDMA workshop I've got no clue where it is though
 
Apps that connect to an webpage still do not work. It brings a page cannotu be found error. I tried with my bank, gamer rewards, and checkpoints and all have the same error in the places where they open a web page. Back to my normal root with nothing special. Thanks will try again when 3.? comes out

That's odd, I've used CTMod from the start and have never experienced a problem connecting to a webpage from an App.
