Root s-off may be around the corner

scotty85: hhmm...are you not the Clean ROM developer Scotty? Seeing all the help you contribute both with posts and sticky's led me to believe you were a developer of sorts. Just curious is all. Thanks for poking around to xda about this :).

scott scrossler is the developer for cleanrom. id love to have his talent, but unfortunately no,im just a guy who likes to mess(read: torture ()) with his phone so i can be able to help folks out of sticky situations ;)

You're becoming more and more of an eu1 everyday, Scotty (I mean that as the highest of compliments :)).

My Linux laptop and any help I can provide is always at your disposal--ping me anytime--I'm happy to help.

Cheers!

Go for it!

I'm not a Linux expert by any stretch of the imagination. But I do work on a couple of Unix systems (IBM's AIX) for my primary job, so there's always something that feels familiar.

I also signed up for that free computer course MIT is having too.

I tell ya, BC, since I sit at a computer all day long doing computer stuff (LOL, I won't bore you with the details...), I used to have no (or little, anyway) interest in doing anything computer-related when I got home from work.

Android was one of the things that changed all that. Plus, there's so much information on the internet now, you can really just dive right in and usually find some good information, tutorials, examples, etc. for something that piques your interest.

If its interesting to you, then you'll happily spend hour upon end immersing yourself into it--at least that's how it is with me ;) :).

You may not write the ROM, but you've always been a big help to lees adventurous folk like me with HTC devices so that still makes ya just as big a deal in my book! :D

I hope they get it but I'm beyond unimpressed with the operators of that channel. You can't say a word in there without getting threatened with a ban. I saw jcase lurking in there. I'd laugh my arse off if he preempted them with a tool of his own. He swore off the Rezound though over some altercation that ticked him off so I doubt it.

Why would I preempt them? hyuh (Globaltron) is a good dude and the rezound has nothing further coming from me.

I'm sure he is a good guy but there was some pretty iffy treatment going on in that channel the times I was there even when people were following the topic. Probably had nothing to do with him idk. I hope they get it as much as anyone.
