Root [WORKING]CWM Recovery v5.0.2.8

Exactly what I was thinking. I am just wondering how I will make the switch from flashing the zvc update w/ MBv1.2 (not MBv1.2zvc) to his new ROM with custom kernel. He was saying that we didn't really update using your links. So would flashing his ROM when it comes out be like automatically updating w/o having to update? And if so will it conflict w/ the prior flash of zvc link?
Blood's new ROM is based off of Sprint ZVC and Boost ZV4. Like Monster said, flash once and done. Updated/new kernel/new rom.
Your baseband is already updated, it's just your system files that are not. New ROM will include the updated system files.

So since I flashed the ZVC Sprint update, will I have to use the Sprint ROM?

Per your request I tried to flash the CWM that you had listed here. The attempt failed. I think it flopped due to SuperSU being present and not Superuser. I have superuser on here, but it is subservient to SuperSU. Regardless, it didn't work. I am hesitant to uninstall SuperSU (I am not sure if I would retain root with just Superuser), but thus far with your CWM bat. it hasn't worked.

Hope this helps....:)

Edit: I took a chance and uninstalled SuperSU and it seems to be still holding root according to Rootchecker. I ran the bat. file again and I am still coming up snake eyes.

Here is the documentation.

Same issue... What do we do?

Yeah I figured that would be the answer. No harm in asking. Well, at least I still have root and that is something.

I am trying to install this, I installed both drivers and run the bat file. Here is what I got:

CWM Installer for the LG Marquee

Exploit Built by the Revolutionary Team
CWM Built by PlayfulGod
Press any key to continue . . .
* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *

Then it stopped there and never finished. Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks for help.

umm. what are u trying to do?

it say its available?

Dont think koush built it to support touch.
I am running ROM Manager Premium 5.0.0.6, and "Flash ClockworkMod Touch" is the first option under "More Recoveries".. I am just wondering if we can at least upgrade our CWM at all. Doesn't necessarily need to be the latest or w/ touch. Thanks Again!! :smokin:

So I should not try to click on the CWM Touch:

So if we already have cwm installed there is no need to mess with anything in rom manager?
You'll need to flash the official recovery through rom manager if you want to backup/rename/restore through rom manager. You can still do manual backups and restores in CWM without rom manager, but I don't think you get the option to rename your backups.

You'll notice if you have the previous version that we've all been using from Playful, it says "CWM-based Recovery" at the top when you're in CWM. When you flash the official build through rom manager, it should change that to "ClockworkMod Recovery".

Ah OK thanks for the info :D

So it wont mess with anything to open ROM Manager>Press the first option ("Flash ClockworkMod Recovery").
I am assuming this allows us to use CWM without booting into recovery? Thanks in advanced.
