wiping cache fixes that.

thanks for testing it.
lol..actually I didn't wipe cache when I flashed, just data and Dalvik..I'm trying again and this time I wiped data, cache, and Dalvik. Thanks man..I'll keep running this and see how it goes.

Edit: yup, cache wipe ftw...thanks again bro

MMS fix by lMonsterl posted here.

My text messaging works fine. I've already done that fix. But is there another for multimedia? I can receive but not send. Oh and also on the new test zvc rom when I put the phone into sleep mode it will pop the lock screen back on without touching the on off / sleep key :/

The fix wasn't for sms, it was for mms(mutlimedia). If it doesn't fix it try using GO SMS

What messaging app are you using? Stock?

Try GO SMS solution here

i read up on the marky beats thread and found that i wasnt the only one having problems with mms sending. i guess some phones were made a lil different or somethin.. but i did dl Go SMS and switched the http to http://mm.myboostmobile.com and it works sometimes. thats good enough for me

go sms isnt working that great for me atm though it keeps force closing on me

I have to use GO SMS.. I cannot send MMS via Stock MMS.apk. Gives me a message expired message. I have had this issue since the start of Marky Beats. I know that my MMSC URL is Boost.. I can get GO to work no problems though. Odd if ya ask me LoL...

Blood, besides the tweaks/optimizations to the ramdisk (I believe that's part of the boot.img), were there any tweaks/optimization to the kernel itself? I would like to play around with the kernel and do some experimental changes to enable overclocking. Thanks.

nah, I haven't changed anything in the source yet other then the shit it says in About phone. I'm waiting till I get a rom I'm working on done before I start doing more with the kernel.

Thanks, I was able to download the ZV4 kernel source (LG855_Android_GB_LG855ZV4_21.zip) from the LG site but couldn't find the ZVC version anywhere. Googled it but couldn't find it anywhere.

The LG site does indeed appear to have it...did you not check?

Open Source Main

Under Catogory, select "Mobile Phones".

Use "LS855" for the model and clock search. It will list both the old ZV9 source and the new ZVC source code.

EDIT: Try this link:

29_Android_Gingerbread_2.3.4_r1_US_Sprint_Opensource_LS855ZVC.zip

Sure no problem. :D

EDIT: Made a typo and put "LG855" instead of "LS855" in my instructions on how to find it. If you used LG855 in the search terms you would have ended up with the Boost Mobile version.

However my download link is correct so if you used that, no need to redownload. ;)

Hi Blood, if you don't mind, can I "borrow" the ramdisk embedded in your Hyper 0.2 boot.img? I have successfully OCed my phone to 1200MHz and I want to package the kernel with your ramdisk and post it on this forum for people to try out. Thanks!

go ahead

Just wanted to say thanks for the kernel, it paired with marky beats is by far way better than stock!!! Coming from an optimus v with a bobzhome rom w/oc kernel that was amazing this phone was a huge disappointment. Great work man

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to get the .config.gz from the phone. I saw that it wasn't in the /proc folder like I read it usually is. Im pretty new to this stuff and having some trouble. Thanks guys!

Hey Bloodawn. ndno has made a OC'd kernel for my Ignite (AS855). I used the optimized mounting from your Hyper .1 for the LS855. Would it be ok with you if this oc'd kernel was posted in the Ignite section? Of course credit would be given.:D Thanks.
