Root What cdma network preference should be chosen on backside?

I think I accidentally changed the setting somehow. Is it cdma/evdo? Which one?

Also, under system select, it is set to automatic, is that good or should I change it?

You want CDMA/EvDo and Automatic but I'm pretty sure these settings don't change anything. These settings are locked in the radio chipset and the only way to actually change them is to use a program called QPST to edit the radio configuration.

If you notice if you try to change CDMA Network Preference it doesn't actually select and it always shows CDMA/EvDo on the menu. And system select would change between Home network and Roaming but since Virgin Mobile doesn't allow or support roaming so this setting is locked to home and can't be changed.

On the Optimus M we are able to roam with other networks, because metropcs uses a lot of other networks to let people still have calling and texting, internet doesn't work when you're roaming with metro though...
Just saying because we have backside on the M too.

The M must have roaming enabled in the radio config. If you use QPST to view the v's radio config roaming is set to home only. I don't think the rom has the ability to override this but I'm not 100%

If you changed the v to have roaming enabled, would you be able to roam on other networks when virgin mobile isn't available?
