I don't believe the phone's SAR level has been mentioned yet.

NKT, does your spec sheet list the SAR level? I know the droid comes in at 1.49 which is close to the 1.6 limit.

It very could be the iPhone. My two people that work at Verizon (one a Supervisor and one a Manager) both received and internal memo from the CEO of Verizon say that they will be selling the iPhone in June. Specs are pretty similar to the current 3GS version for AT&T. You might want to ask him about that, I was able to see the internal memo but wasn't able to get him to forward it to me as he was to delete it ASAP.
Seems like a stretch as VZW is already planning on rolling out LTE by the end of the year. I think we covered this, but it'd make more sense just making a LTE version of the phone that is backwards compatible, as well as with all carriers (I believe LTE is going to be universal right?)

I think the announcement is about the Android phones or the Project Pink phones from MS which are supposed to launch in April

I think the N1's SAR is even higher so I'd guess somewhere similar to that. Don't they list that in the FCC filing?

Say what you want but I know what I saw. The specs also did include LTE support for the iPhone. They are also talking about making LTE live in the 25 test cities in June.

I'm not doubting you, as theres no way for either of us to prove otherwise. I'm just saying it seems very unlikely from my point of view.

Can you ask your connects about anything Android related? (Incredible, N1, etc.)

Anything LTE for Verizon will have to be backward compatible with CDMA since the 4G network will take awhile to fully build out. The problem is that Apple selected some fledgling company for it's LTE chip. We talked about this some 40 pages back. I found no mention of CDMA compatibility with their chip. Qualcomm is making an LTE chip that is backwards compatible with both GSM and CDMA, and I thought for sure that would be in the next iPhone. Unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be the case.

Well with Jobs acting like a pissy little school girl towards Google, Apple may abandon Verizon as Big Red goes ahead with Android handsets.

I have asked and they wouldn't give me a straight answer. They are the ones that told me that there will be 2 android phones being released on the day the Devour is released.

Also if you think about it, Apple did announce that they are ramping up production this month and next. So I think the big announcement for CITA from Verizon will be the iPhone to trump the Google announcement of the Nexus One. Just cuz Steve "Jackass" Jobs rolls like that.

If some of you are thinking about getting the iPhone for Verizon I would wait till next year. The version for this June will be the same as the current BUT the screen is smaller.

I never used sense before can you use the android default on screen keyboad instead of the sense keyboad im just used to it with my droid

Are you kidding, even 256 mb ram is huge for a mobile device. Mobile devices are evolving extremely fast. Developer are used to only have 32 mb of ram MAX for their processes. While a couple of extra animations will eat up more processing, you won't notice it much battery wise.

The problem is really that android is still very immature. There is room to grow.

It's not that sense is pulling extra data compared to stock android. If you are using a facebook widget anyway you are still doing the same thing. They just do a better job of presentation.
I will preface this by saying that I haven't used Android all that much, but of course I'm not kidding. I'm talking about incremental differences. Sure, you have a lot of RAM to start with and you have a fully charged battery to start with, but every little bit makes a difference. Extra RAM usage, extra CPU cycles, extra data use... It adds up.

I'm not saying there will be a huge, or even necessarily noticeable to the average user, but it WILL make a difference. You use more resources, you have to pay for them. Period.

Same here! Well at least until they announce the specs for the next iPhone for next year then we will see what I will do then.

There is no doubt that the iphone is coming to vzw. It would be insane for Apple not to. VZW gets plenty more subscribers and they sell plenty more iphones. It will even help AT&T in a way, when millions of their subscribers switch to VZW it will relieve some of the stress on their network.

Isn't the Devour coming out on the 15th? or is it the 25th?
is there any way you can get them to expand on the 2 androids coming out?!
