Root [GUIDE]Flash your phone back to stock[KDZ/Cab]

Here is the error code I get when I try to use the CDMA-Smartphone DIAG route. Also when I use the 3GQCT-Smartphone way. I've downloaded latest LG Marquee Drivers and am using KDZ Updater with KDZ file found at the beginning of this post. I am starting with my phone plugged into laptop and the power off; turning phone on only after the update tab is pressed. I have also tried both routes with the phone turned on. I am getting nowhere with this; only frustration and endless searching on this forum. If anyone can help I'd apprecitate it. I welcome any and all ideas or solutions. If someone is willing to provide one on one tech support, I'd be happy to donate funds in exchange for success. Thanks to all on this forum; this is the best group ever.

Hey everyone. I had a member on here hook up to my laptop via TeamView to look at my situation. I have everything downloaded correctly; am hitting the "launch update now" tab and Then turning on my phone. The KDZ file unpacks itself, runs through a bunch of script; all the while my phone boots normally. No updates install and nothing else is happening. I've switched my usb ports which didn't work. When I run the updater with my phone already turned on the program cannot find my phone. I welcome anyone who wants to hook up to my PC and find out what I am doing wrong. hey guys i may be way of topic here nd im sorry bt umm im running stock rom rooted nd i just installed hypers kernel nd need to kno if theres a way to boot into recovery without adb or an app i stuck on the lg splash screen and hyper kernel splash screen

Pull your battery, reinstall battery, hold volume down and power until you enter recovery. Good luck.
 
Gamikzone- Where did you buy your phone? I got mine from a Best Buy store. Are you trying the KDZ updater on a laptop or tower? I don't know what could cause our lack of success but maybe we can find a solution together. If any other forum members are willing to help us, please let us know. We are really wanting to have rooted and modded LG marquee phones.
 
Some of you guys may need to prepare your computer before attempting to flash it. Before you do flash try this first.

Things to know
----
* Do not boot in Safe Mode, that will not work.
* If you have anti-virus or firewall disable them or remove them.
* If you have a virus on your computer thats causing issues remove them or go on another computer.
* This has not been tested on Linux or Mac
* Windows XP, Vista, and 7 are known to work. If you are using a Windows 98 or Windows ME might as well throw it out because they will not work.
* When you plug your phone in you will see in your device manager the LG modem. That will interfere with flashing so disable it.


Things that will help you prepare your computer
----
File 1:
Install the latest JDK version from this website. Which is the JDK 7u4 at current time as of 1:24 AM Central Time on 5/13/2012. Java SE Downloads

File 2:
For those of you using windows vista or 7 you may need to update the fix for the USB Drivers which is located here. 6.1.7601 USB Driver Update Fix

File 3:
Use LG Driver Software to download the drivers for the phone. However if you are encountering issues on downloading it through the software (which I recommend because when you download it, it gives an addtional 2 files for USB fixes for the phone) you can always download it off the website on LG itself located here. I've read somewhere if the drivers are already installed the LG Software will not let you get the choice in downloading it again.

Try installing these things first and see if they work.
 
ZV4 Update Installed with Root Access! Many many thanks to kado2999 for all the help. I disabled firewall, antivirus, and installed latest JDK. Many thanks also go out to Slayer for all his help. Now I just need to surf the forum to find out how to tweak my phone to the max.

Thank for all your help but unfortunatley ive still yet got it to work i disabled my firewall updated to the latest driver i installed JDK but when i plug my phone in i get the chraging screen i turn on the KDZ i have it set to CDMA SMARTPHONE (WM) i hit update it freezes for a few seconds i turn my phone on then goes right through the lg and boost screen then on the log it says model dll msg not found and i get the Param error. im not sure what im doing wrong but ive tried this maybe 50 times i feel like my phone doesnt want me to be happy :mad:

If the CDMA Smartphone DIAG does not work then put it on 3GQPST Smartphone.

It will do that sometimes. It is not actually frozen though do not close out of it. Also did you make sure windows enabler active and on the taskbar at bottom right it says "ON" ?

should i wait for it to unfreeze i just boot it up when its frozen and it stays that way until the phone boots up then iget the whole log, yes i have it on im running windows 7 64 bit do u think i could be doing anything wrong? when i plug the phone in it doesnt show up on my computer but i see the eject hardware safely icon in my taskbar

And you ran every program AS ADMINISTRATOR? Even disabled the LG Modem in your device manager? What about the KDZ your using is it the one that is in the original post?

YES! this is madness, let me double check on that i believe i am but idk whats up with my phone why it wont let me do crap.
