Root [GUIDE]Flash your phone back to stock[KDZ/Cab]

hey everyone
ive been having some trouble with this these past few days.
I got the rivers from the program kado posted, and followed his directions to the letter, but when i get to the part where i press launch software update, a window pops up saying that the program has stopped working...

Thank you, i had not, that post is much more organised.
But I still get stuck at the same part.
The kdz update application freezes a few seconds after i press the "launch software update" button, and a window pops up saying that the application has stopped working. About half the time, another window pops up saying that the application closed in an unusual way...
 
Will this get me back to stock for Boost Mobile ? I'm having problems with the chargimg port when i connect my charger, then unlock the slider my phone has a mind of its on, but when not connected to the charger its fine . so i have to unroot my marquee and ship it to LG ? Any suggestions ?

Are you already on stock zv4 or are you using a custom rom such as MB or CTMod? If you're using zv4, you can use the link in the 2nd paragraph in my post here to unroot. If you're using a custom rom, you'll need to flash stock rooted zv4 and unroot it. This should work for you since you already have root.
This thread is more for people who have updated and have not installed su or cwm, since the zergrush exploit was fixed with the latest update. If you want to do it this way, go back to zv9 since I am not aware of a zv3/zv4 .kdz file at this time. Once you're back on zv9, you'll need to install cwm, then the rooted stock zv4, then unroot it using here. That will leave you with the updated zv4 for boost without root. You should be able to send it in without any questions then.

One word of warning, cwm will still be installed as your recovery image. I actually sent mine in to sprint last year with cwm installed and they didn't mention a word, but it may not be that way for everybody.

I'm using ZVC with CTMOD so its back ZV4! Wish me luck bro

I'm using ZVC with CTMOD so its back ZV4! Wish me luck bro

i'm thinking i will have issues flashing back to stock since the connection port is my problem . I thick overheating caused the problem

Good point lol..I would use the ZV4 flashing and unrooting method myself anyways, since you still have root.

Hope you get it back to where you need to be.

Simple fix :smokingsomb: changed a differnt data cable and have not not had any issues since . thanks for your prep work
 
I need help .. the same phone i used to flash back to kdz several times tryin diffrent things i cant get.to flash at all laptop and.cpu since.it returned from lg last week to repair.radio .. ????? Thoughts .. suggestions??

Ok, I will try that, cause none of the other ones seem to work for me. I get the same error as I posted earlier or that the phone was not found. I have tried 3 PC's so far and who knows how many different usb ports. So I hope this one will work.

Edit: Still no go, same d*mn error. Could it be something with my USB cable? I'm using the one from my Prevail. My Marquee didn't come with a usb/charger cable, just a straight wall style charger.
 
Damn :( Could be the cable I suppose. Is the phone recognized in adb?

I've been using these drivers since last October on this phone in case you want to try different drivers. With those drivers, and that version of KDZ, I've flashed a few times to ZV9 with no problems, never have had to do the timing thing that others seem to have to do, either.

Yeah, adb picks it up no problem.

Maybe you're one of the lucky ones that has to do the timing thing.

If it helps, I always run KDZ as Administrator.
I also think I had to install the JDK, but maybe I'm just thinking of another program.

Sorry man, I set all my stuff up last October and haven't touched it since because it works so well, so I can't remember if JDK was for that or something else.
