By the way, I am trying to sync the facebook integration to the phone, and when I try to add Facebook account (under 4.0.2), the facebook logo comes in, and it stays there and nothing more.

Anyone else with the same issue? Or anyone has been able to integrate Facebook to their Galaxy Nexus?

there were massive behind the scene bug fixes between .2 and .4

from that article which is straight from one of the Google Android Devs he says this:

I'm in the process of pushing the Android 4.0.4 files (IMM76D) into
the Android Open-Source Project. This represents an incremental update
of a few hundred changes over 4.0.3.

A lot of the stuff that was fixed you may or may not have even experienced.

edit* i realize that doesn't answer your question of an official list. The problem is there was never an official list published. I'm just trying to help people understand that going from .2 to .4 is a pretty big update in software not to mention the firmware update that we've all been waiting on.

From what I've been reading here, its debatable whether the update actually fixes all of "the problems". Reception being one of them. Something to consider.

My problem is that I NEED the OTA to fix my problem. The slow screen rotation, typing lag, etc., is all minor next to not being able to make phone calls. 4.0.4 doesn't fix that and it's supposedly this "miracle Samsung patch" that has yet to be officially confirmed which will fix my issue. I got tired of waiting a long time ago and would have installed a custom ROM if it would fix my issue. But since my problem is (supposedly) in Samsung's hands, I'm stuck waiting. Either that, or beg Verizon for a different phone.

They sure have me by the you-know-what.... :(

That's what I thought. This is why I like coming here and not that other developer forum... most everyone there has such an elitist attitude and will speak to you in a condescending manner. If I want to do that, I'll just go to work. I tried telling folks over there that 4.0.2 - 4.0.4 is quite a large update but it fell on deaf ears.

I have to ask all of you... why do you continue to stay with Verizon after all this?

The reason they can get away with not releasing updates is because they know that you guys aren't going to leave. So what's the point? It's pure revenue for them to NOT release updates so long as everyone continues to buy new phones and sign new contracts with Verizon.

I understand that for some of you, Verizon is the only option because their coverage is so stellar, at least in more rural areas. But for those of you who do have other options, switch. It was the best decision I made. I went from being bound to Verizon's greed, to having an unlocked Galaxy Nexus straight from google, paying $30/month for unlimited everything, being under no contract, and having the freedom to pop in a new SIM card every month if I decide T-Mobile doesn't deserve my service.

Sounds great for you! I'm one of those with Verizon as the only real coverage around... plus solid 4G. I'm stuck and they know it. But they can't stop me from modifying the phone to make it work to MY specifications.

I agree, if you are unhappy with your service, change providers. Unfortunately, I have no choice, both for coverage reasons, and cost (all family is on verizon, switching would cost them and us money, since we would need to bump plan minutes.)
 
Leaving Verizon now is costly for me. But I can switch to at&t or Tmo after Sept when my contract is done. If verizon treats Gnex like this until then, this is going to be my last phone on VZW.
 
Well...I just got off the phone with Verizon and apparently the level 2 tech's have it in writing that the 4.0.4 update should come in May 2012. There are officially 2 days left in May so I'll sit tight until Friday. If there's still no update, they've agreed to give me a full refund and remove me off of any contract.

Here's a question, has anyone tried to insert their sim card into another carrier's 4G phone? My tech2 rep (who has actually been pretty honest and as helpful as she could be) said that Verizon states the sim cards can only be used in their network in their 4G phones but when I asked if they would work with another carrier, she didn't say no.

Nope, it will not work on another carrier.

I'm in the same boat. My wife talks to her family a TON and they're all on Verizon. So if we switched our bill would skyrocket. :(

That's what I'm giving them, the rest of this week. If nothing drops this week, I'll be doing it myself next weekend.

I just don't understand how they can kick the Nexus to the curb in 6 months, but every store has a full wall dedicated to the IPhone so it doesn't have to be near Android phones. All the carriers kiss Apple's ass, and I just don't get it.

It still happens to me on AOKP b37 which is AOSP 4.0.4 + the Verizon specific binaries from this OTA. :(

Unless they pull the file, re-upload a different one that has different contents prior to pushing the OTA, I'm 99% sure what I have is what is in the OTA - and the mid-call muting thing is still there :(

All I'm saying is I have 4.0.4 and AOKP pulled in all the Verizon binaries in b37 and I still have the mid-call muting thing.

Trust me, I want nothing more than for this to fix it, but it's not looking like it does. I'm waiting anxiously to see updates in the google code bug report from people once they start receiving the OTA.
 
I downloaded the zip file, and tried to reboot in recovery mode, but I got the Android with his panel open and a big red warning triangle hovering above it.

I was able to restart my phone normally, but I wasn't able to flash the 4.0.4 update. I am rooted and unlocked but never flashed any ROMs so its still stock 4.0.2. I guess its good the update is supposed to be coming out for real this time since it looks like I'll have to wait for it OTA.

Yeah I've been on 37 also. I haven't had it happen to me since winter. Maybe just maybe they added a fix to the leak we are running. :) Crazy that they would list it in the fixes and it not be the case ya know...
 
Maybe I'm giving them too much credit, but what if they were about to release this update, then at the 11th hour Samsung told them they had the fix for the 1-way audio. So Verizon red-lights it to add that fix to it and has to go through a whole new round of testing. Seems awfully optimistic though, especially since the build number is the same.

And the file is the same (same md5)... :(
