Yeah under clocking can be bad cause you processor is starting from a lower hertz in idle then working up to where you put the maximum is at.It's like taking something out of the freezer then throwing it straight into the fire. You need the min. and max. to be not too far apart.480 min/786 max are good numbers.
As with desktop computers that you OC, this does eventually cause some slow wear and tare on the phone.. or are just a geek (like most of us) and like tweaking your phone.![]()

I'm a very happy chicken!I did fix permissions and it has been pukka since then!I'm a very happy chicken!

Curiosity has gotten the better of me> what exactly does pukka mean and what is it derived from? I take it it's a good thing, hence the part about being a happy chicken.I did fix permissions and it has been pukka since then!I'm a very happy chicken!
so I haven't lost my terminology!Try going into settings-Cyanogenmod settings- display and uncheck rotation animations. For some reason this setting has been causing freezing on unlock.
I'm also intermittently experiencing this freezing issue.
I've tried repeatedly to uncheck the "rotation animations" box, but the unchecking never "sticks." There is a notation that changing this setting requires a reboot; I've tried both unchecking the box, exiting out of the Cyanogenmod settings, and rebooting, and unchecking the box and immediately long-pressing the power button to bring up the "phone options" screen and rebooting. No matter what, if I go back to the Display page, the "rotation animations" box is checked.
What am I doing wrong?
