Root Here it is the VM670.dll!!

Well here you guys go, a working VM670.dll that I found:

VM670.zip

What can you do with this?

Well if someone has a phone that isn't updated to the newest update from LG update tool you can update to the newest version and while doing so, go to the directory of where you installed update tool by right clicking on the shortcut>properties>open file location which should be: C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX>there is a hidden folder called Phone>copy everything in that folder to your desktop (only when the update tool is flashing the update and is upgrading your phone.)>zip it with 7-zip or winrar and upload it and share on this thread or PM it to me.

Why would you want to share these files on this thread? Because I can write another thread where you can use LGNPST to unbrick your Optimus V, but I need these files first.

There isn't much you can do with LGNPST and the VM670.dll unless you have all of these files. But there are other things you guys know what you can do with this dll.

So you can use this to install optimus v firmware instead of optimus s firmware when unbricking?

Idk how it works, us Optimus M users never had to use other firmware or even that special LGKP500 tool because we've always been able to use LGNPST thanks to joneidy. If you can upload the .bin, .scr, and .prl so I can write an unbrick guide using OV firmware instead of OS firmware, that would be great for everyone. :D

Unbricking with LGNPST is 10x easier than any other way and you can also use it to revert back to stock or to upgrade/downgrade.

I don't know if it will be that easy. Virgin Mobile has only ever released one firmware.cab, and that cab file was broken. I would test this myself but I broke my test phone. If some one could get these files I will rewrite my guide.

If they are on ZV4/5 they should be able to get these files.
How did you break your test phone?

The firmware.cab file he is referring to are some leaked firmware.cab files that have been out for more than a year. The problem they have is their missing the .dll so when you try to use the KDZ updater/Phone in emergency mode method you either get an error opening library or it bricks your phone.
There has never been a full firmware.cab update through the LG updater tool.

Well I just got an OV, so I'll see what I can do ;) when it arrives.
