thanks i did i tried 10.2 and the 11 but when i try to watch a netflix movie.
it is out of sync and the audio is not sync. i'm using versiong 1.8 from the market
i think i saw a diff working version posted here.
 
So my phone freezes/reboots still with custom roms. It actually did the same thing on stock until the very latest update that LG put out in the fall. Haven't had this problem at all until I tried this rom, so it's not a hardware defect, it's a software defect with certain revisions of this phone. I don't want to use the stock because it's extremely slow, there is a significant lag sending texts too that bugs me.

I was hoping the fix permissions trick was all it was, but I had no luck. It seems to do this when browsing the web.

There are two stock 2.2.2 updates that LG released. Find the difference between the two, and we'll know exactly what this issue is. If there's some sort of logger than I can use to pinpoint what's causing this to happen, then any pointers would be nice.

I don't want to drop money on a new phone if I don't have to, but this is starting to bug me. I'm willing to throw down a bounty of $15 if someone can fix this.

If this is a true software defect, try my guide that takes you to 2.2.2 stock, it will reflash the software and take out any software defects and it is the newest update to 2.2.2. And because you are trying to fix a defect, I recommend flashing kelsos 2.2.2 stock-like rom and then flash 2.2.2 stock from my guide

How would this potentially fix things? I don't want 2.2.2. It's extremely slow. Even after I rooted it, and removed the bloatware.

I'm pretty sure that there were a batch of OM's that I got which didn't play well with 2.2.1 stock, and the first 2.2.2 update (MS690ZV6) I have been having this issue until the very latest, and second 2.2.2 update that LG released last September (MS690ZV7) which was intended to fix this issue (which it did).

Now LG did release the source code for 2.2.2, and BobZ awhile back showed there were no differences in the kernel compared to 2.2.1, which leads me to believe that LG might have fixed the problems in the binary blobs or they released the source code for ZV6 and not ZV7. I just submitted an inquiry for ZV7 a few minutes ago.

I don't know why, but when I updated to 2.2.2 and then flashed over CM7 I have less issues.
 
Alright so I have been running this rom for awhile now and thought I would post back. I have noticed it will not reboot when on charge i have to unplug it but thats not a big deal. When under alot of "stress" or heavy load it tends to reboot. I was wondering if perhaps this is due to the dalvik just in time complier being checked in the processor settings? It wasnt checked on 7.1, just a thought. Also since I've flashed this rom I get really weird messages in my notification bar at night. It doesnt register as a text and its mostly symbols like its another langauge and says "android" somewhere in the "message" usually. Anyway to figure out whats causing this its very annoying lol.

Did you use joneidy's Custom recovery to flash this?
You need CWM.
 
hey sammyz is there a way you can mod the upper task bar for diff color icons and just a tad bigger.???3g in white signal bars in white.??

Same with me in regards to the phone rebooting when under a lot of stress. For me it seems to happen only when I launch Google Maps every now and then. It hangs then it reboots.

Yes when it happens its almost always due to maps, especially if im running the music player at the same time.
 
I noticed the status bar is transparent always... Is there a reason to change it? ive tried everything to get the most out of my theme lol
 
Hi All,
Going to give this ROM a try but for some reason I can't boot into recovery, feeling dumb. Been running Joneidy's Sense 2.2.1 Rom for about a year. I know how I'm supposed to boot into recovery but the phone just restarts. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks to all for your hard work.
