Root [ROM] (Working) (Tested) Silverlight_4.0 for Micromax A75

Sir, there's this problem with the wifi which i am facing the moment i flashed this rom, the phone detects the wifi signal also connects smoothly but when the phone goes into sleep mode the connection gets disconnected. You have to keep the phone always on then only u are able to use the wifi connection.

ohh... yes this is true that it will show 2.3.4... :rolleyes:

I made some changes in the build prop to get 4.0.1 :D

Install root explorer (if you dont installed it :p )

Through Root explorer Open system/ and then long press on build.prop
and select "Open in Text Editor" (Dont forgot to mount r/w :D )

Now find these lines in that file, and change according to this and save..


ro.custom.build.version=SilverLight™ 4 for Micromax A75
ro.build.version.release=4.0.1
ro.product.model=Micromax A75
ro.product.name=Micormax A75
ro.product.device=Micormax A75
ro.build.product=Micormax A75

(Root explorer will make a backup file of original entries you can revert back if you dont liked .. ;))

I dont know whether it works or not but i have not tested this rom on Jet MOD 3.0 (I dont have that ROM :( )

You can give a try,

Before you do anything please Take a complete nandroid backup so that you'll not loose anything and in case any problem occurred you can revert to the JetMOD 3.0 easily..


Try it and Let Us all know..! :)

Ohh.... dear dont call me sir, We all are friends,

I want to say thanks to you as you have working Wifi.;) (My phone Wifi is not working i dont know why..! )

Use screen timeout to fullest from notification toolbar it will help u to awake your phone for maximum time.. :p

I think they have made something in Build.prop for saving battery thats why you are getting this problem, I need to find it..! :confused:

Please tell me ( as you have flashed this rom after MMX Stock Rom) whether you find any bug while operating your mobile.. :rolleyes:

Any bug related to,

1. Wifi issues
2. Network calling, data (2g, 3g)
3. Tethering (usb, wifi) etc....

Please if you have faced anything let us all know about it..! :)

yes I had some serious bugs
1.some network operators are not available ex.airtel
2.unable to attain root access
I am unable to download adv3 rom from 4shared anyone pls upload it to mediafire
 
This might be helpful ...

i installed Silverlight as per the procedure given and had absolutely no issues at all till now.

Then just to kill time ... Once again In recovery i did ...

Backup of silverlight ...

Then datafactory reset, wiped cache, wiped delvik ... and installed Speria by DG ...

booted into it ... and had few popups, probably the remains from the previous installations ....

Once again into recovery ... after reset n wipe ... Restored the Silverlight backup ...

ran into it ... and here ... as new and as smooth as the stock ... no issues at all ... :)

... and i really love the smoothness it has in it ...

... just waiting for the customizations on Sony Ericsson Home ... in the Home screen ... when you press menu ...there is a "Theme" Option ... but no program is associated with it ... can i please get it to work ... please please please ... ^^

Just a quick query that does this ROM support ext2 as I am trying ad2sdx for moving all app to sdcard
Also how can I remove the un-necessary apps (mobile uncle ect)

And it register your Micromax A75 phone to spice server :-)

and other one... in starting it always give that force close error for phoenix launcher..

You can install link2sd from market and use it with your 2nd partition ... i prefer fat16 format of the 2nd partition ...

in link2sd itself ... if you go to system apps ... you can scroll down and long press app to either freeze or uninstall it ...

same wid the phoenix ... you can convert it to user app ... for the issues ...

dont forget to to reboot after first link2sd creation of script ... and changing apps thru link2sd ...

hope it will solve few stated issues ... :)

I think it support EXT2 as i have moved my some of the apps on SD card but i have used Link2SD app not ad2sdx

I have also observed that my Micromax A75 phone get registered on Spice Server (That doesn't harm)

For the first time only it shows force close error
after it is well but i cant say its a bug..
 
i just play safe ... as i dont know that if its a standalone app or linked app ... so i prefer link2sd... other things like bootaudio n unrequired media ... i go with your Root Explorer technique ... ^^
 
Can any one pls upload "download provider.apk and download provider UI.apk" from system/app of ur rom.

I want to make it confirm that whether you used the ROM mentioned in the OP or any other.. :confused:

As the other ROM than OP has some carrier Problem and rinoxos modded it for Mitto 898 and fixed the carrier Issue (His Modded rom is in the OP) .. :)

I have both the roms
do onething for me go to wireless network>mobile networks>network operators
and pls let me know how many network operators listed after search in ur phone
I only got 3 operators in this rom
and I have 5mp in camera hence it should be modded one

I tried these guidelines but my Wifi Issue is not fixed..

I am now seaching for fixing this issue..!

For sim1 (ie Cellone) i am getting
list: 1) Cellone
2) Airtel
3) Uninor
4) Reliance
5) Vodafone
6) Tata Docomo

For Sim 2 Tata Docomo i am getting
List:1) Tata Docomo
2) Airtel
3) Uninor
4) Reliance
5) Vodafone
6) Cellone
7) aircel
8) Idea

And One More thing i think Both Roms have same 5 MP camera do correct me if i am wrong..

Please will you tell me whether you have Wifi Working or stucking on connecting..!

Tell me its important.. :)

... When i used it ... Wifi worked like a charm ... no flickering while connecting ...
... i used WPS pin connect ... and it was fast ...

The only thing why i got back on the Original non-Rooted Stock is ... the internal memory kept on heaping up ... like 50mbs/70mbs each time ...

i used to delete the data/core/ heaped up files to get the internal memory to the actual apps ..

It worked like a charm to me without any issues at all ... except the memory and background process things ... had just the memory issues ... otherwise ... perfect ... :)
