Drop the .zip into your Eris's SD card. DO NOT OPEN THE ZIP FROM YOUR COMPUTER (It will corrupt it). I think I read on Macs that it auto opens the zip and drops the zip in the trash. Just move it from the trash to the SD card. Turn off the phone. Hold volume down and end. Phone will boot and let it do its thing :)

Exactly what he said. I just did it from a Macbook. Normally it auto unzips the zip files, but for some reason, it said it couldn't unzip this one. So, plug in your phone to your computer, mount the Eris, drag the file into the SD card, turn off phone, hold volume down and the end button....follow the instructions on the screen. Easy as pie!
 
Downloading now will try to install as well of course Megaupload has to be slow but im not complaining lol thanks again for the upload
 
Doing setup now. It seems a lot snappier than previous setups, and it allowed me to connect to wi-fi during setup which it didn't on older leak. Reception does seem better. More to come.

It's done and is all up! Gonna do a *228 just to make sure, and then reboot the phone! Loving how the new designs of the apps! How do I sync my contacts with my gmail?

EDIT: Just kidding, it did it automatically for me! Nice!

Almost positive this is the real deal. My phones never been this fast W4lly.

Not tying to talk you into it, just lettin u know i went from the leak to this, and its not even a comparison. so much better.

That is option 2 right? That's what I just hit.

Also, I read that in the previous leak it was kinda tough to use the pinch to view all the homescreens.....very easy to do in this!
 
I honestly thought my phone was fast enough with 1.5....but this thing is QUICK! Dang! I love this! Losing my sleep messing around with it!

su - app that gives your root (lay man terms)
sh - the shell, modified to work with superuser.apk
superuser.apk makes it so phone asks you when apps want root access, security
spare_parts - tinkering app

Preventing OTA Updates | The Android Mobile OS <- prevent OTA updates , I did not disable them in the rom as I wanted to leave it as near OTA as possible.
 
This thing is blazingly fast. Even after I've installed all of my previous apps. It's noticeably faster than the leak, which I fresh installed not long ago.
 
So far the only problem I see is not all my contacts pictures are being synced with Facebook....their profiles are, but some of the pictures aren't syncing up.
