Metro has been doing tower upgrades. Ive had 0 data not even 1x for the past 3 weeks but now i have 4g everywhere i used to get 1x.

Okay. First there is no "full" 4G signal. It's just 4G on or off. The service indicator is separate from the 4G. So you do have a 4G icon present right? I think Metro has been messing with the network lately as I've been having issues off and on. When I have 4G issues I dial *228 option 5 and reset the PRL. Works every time. Other than that give Metro a call and see what you can find out. It's prolly on their side.
I'm having this issue fuzzy that's why I bumped it I went to sleep but I'm going to downgrade my prl.

Wouldn't hurt. I know it wouldn't be an issue with the phone or with a ROM or anything. It's def on Metro's end. They are supposed to be upgrading their data network this year so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people continue having issues. For 10Mb Ill have issues all day long![]()

I hear ya. Straight talk is the way to go honestly. Just buy you an s3 and run it on 7mbps for 45 a month.
Being that I'm buying the s3 when it comes out for metro, if metro doesn't up their data like they say they are doing, then i might take the s3 to straight talk

Mind you, it's not as easy as a simple toggle data or 4g on/off,
Something is being done to the network settings.
What works for sure(or only easy way) is utilizing the culprit(if known) to reenable...if the guilty app has been removed since, reinstalling to toggle on will do the trick...
Wow, sorry.thanks man, you said had good idea, but, to be honest with you if you read my notes, its not my phone, I have and had 4g at my work leaving my work anyways, not in my house anymore or with in a 4 mile radius of my house, my 3 g works as well as my 4g just no data near my house, so I dont know what to do. I did a factory reset to very factory settings, no apps no rom no cwm, and still same issue, just no service within the 4mile bubble, I watched the service cut out.
this has been going on since 2006, with metro and my service, and I really think its cause I have had the same number since 2002.

lol my phone has 456:12:36 on life time calls, lol can I delete that. lol This phone looks new in its case and cover, but lol its has been around the block, I may be just leaving metro soon, or stick around if by thusday, this isnt resolved I am bouncing....

Ugghhh, that would make me leave for Straight Talk, as u mentioned earlier...esp. since Tmob will match Metro truly unlimited/unthrottled beginning Sept.5 or 8(and maybe to their prepaid carriers?)<br />

I was thinking you could troubleshoot with a new phone, say the Motion(or the Metro phone of another coworker/family member)...then return it if still same issues....but after 4 phones it'd likely be a waste of time / or they have it in for you.<br />

Good luck, hope you can port ur present number seamlessly to next carrier...or in the meantime to someone like Google Voice, etc.
You can clear your call timer by upgrading or downgrading the software version. Might be an easier way but idk.
