Root [Rom][5-17-12]Broken Out Connect 1.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

When downloading from the market and that app is jist about to install i get the process.adcore.media force close. Could it be a system app i deleted??
 
That's strange.... Um... idk. I can try to figure it out if you can do something....

Backup your rom

Wipe data/ factory reset

Backup that after rebooting

Restore your first backup

Upload the reset backup to a dropbox or mediafire and I can grab it, put it in my phone and try debugging and checking stuff.

It's easier than working blind.
 
I experienced some reboots lately and i can reproduce at least one quite often (but not always).

i switched my 4Gb microSD with a 32Gb. Since, i'm having some random reboots. But one i can reproduce quite often is when i access my pictures on the SD card from my PC. I could reproduce some reboots while i was deleting a picture directly from the windows image viewer.

I'm also having an issue with google navigation not telling the names of the streets since i installed BOR.

BOR 2.0 any time soon? I love it!

The browser should not be installed. Move the APK to system\app and it should appear in the app drawer. If you install it, it will fail.
 
Anyone else getting these crazy 502 Text messages? I've been running the Broken Out Rom now about a month and I love it! The 502 text messages are annoying, but they are the only issue I'm having. I'd like them to stop, help anyone. Thanks!

Are you talking about the blank error page that comes up when you're browsing the net? If so that sounds more of a problem with your data connection or the site your visiting than the rom. I am also on Broken Out and I don't have this problem. Have you tried using a different browser?

Its not the ROM thats doing it, its one of the apps that your using. I was getting them a long time ago from GoSMS but then they fixed it after getting alot of feedback from users. I have GoSMS installed still and I dont get them so its not that app thats causing it.

No, these are text messages (SMS). I haven't received any today, but each day around the exact same time I get back to back texts from 502 and the body of the message begins wma****- I can't remember the entire string, but next time I receive one I'll take a screenshot and post it.

Hmmm, I don't have any other SMS service other than the stock Android message service. When I switch back to my stock, rooted ROM the messages don't occur. I prefer using Broken Out ROM (obviously), but the messages are the only annoyance of an otherwise lovely ROM. If it's not the ROM, what other app could be causing the texts?
 
Honestly, I get the same text messages on my phone. Right now I'm just stock ZVA rooted. The culprit as far as I can tell is Go SMS. Some days I get one or two messages all day ,some days three within minutes of each other, some days none at all.
If you don't have Go SMS, then I dunno what it is. I'm positive that's what is causing it for me though.
 
Can someone guide me on how to add a battery charge animation for this ROM, my OCD kicks in when I see my screen glowing and there is nothing on it lmao!! thanks in advance.
 
my ex roomie had a terrible case of Ocd, i kicked him out the following day, it was like what ever was out of place by even a millimeter there would be talk of it.

Lmmfao!! I really dnt have OCD but I knw how bad it can be for someone tht actually suffers frm it. I was just basically saying tht I knw the issue of not having a battery charging animation and only a backlight may be small and not bothersome to most but it does kinda bother me : ).
 
Ok....back to my transparent status bar. I'm trying to achieve a transparent status bar like the MIUI ROMS.
So far I've tried a few apps (super status bar & status bar+) full transparency is not achieved.

I've tried editing the PNGs (inside drawable-hdpi & mdpi folders) in the SystemUI.apk. Also tried a ADW Launcher and enabled wallpaper hack. Still cant get it similar to MIUI.

I think I'm getting somewhere with it because when the drop down notification bar slides back into the upper panel, I can faintly see the date still & after about 5 seconds I can see it fade away.

If some one can point me in the right direction of you think I'm headed in the right direction please let me know. I'm no pro...but I'm trying to look up and gather the information before I ask.

Lol yea it bothers me too, wasnt trying to diss u ,just reminded me of first ocd experience. tried repairing it but no luck, still trying though.
