Root [THEME] ICS for OA 2.3.20

Ok it's like this
  • Download my zip file and open it up with something like winrar
  • Extract framework-res.apk,systemui.apk,settings.apk,clockopia.ttf,droidsans-bold.ttf, and droidsans.ttf and put them on your sdcard.
  • Now you need root explorer to move all of those files to your root system directory
Then you're gonna wanna change the permissions for each file to :
Read write excute
Owner * *
Group *
Others *

From there you just move each file to the folder it belongs in:
framework-res.apk goes in /system/framework
systemui.apk and settings.apk goes in /system/app
clockopia.ttf,droidsans.ttf,droidsans-bold.ttf goes in /system/fonts

OK Kool i got it! to be honest this is the best ICS Theme on the Admire in my opinion! Thanks for the hard work!!
 
Why when I put in a theme the status bar 3G icon turns back to stock and then back to the theme...really frustrating...someone help me out I would really appreciate it my android brothers :smokingsomb:

That happens when you flash the theme through cwm
 
nice nice it would make things easier if it flashed right but other than that cant complain. this came out really awesome. and btw the spinning mangekyou sharingan always makes me feel like im being trapped in genjustu

Yeah i don't know oa is weird about flashing themes so i have to do it the annoying manual way. And thanks. And haha that's the effect i wanted

I followed the instructions on the above post my brother...the stock 3g icon still comes back when I login to my google account...:smokingsomb:

I don't know why then. I had that problem once but when i did it the manual way i didn't have that issue anymore
 
I UOT'd OA shortly after flashing it. It wouldn't take my changes so I manually pushed the files as you stated. Spz0 pointed me in the direction of the edify script. This is the result I get after changing the call location of busybox. I'm gonna try your theme too KageBeast 'cuz it's so dang purdy! :)

I see you used the androidian status bar. And you totally should! I'm content with the work i did and i think it looks nice. Could be better but i feel it's ok for noob work
 
hey hey hey kage this may be noob work but its pretty damn job. i cant help but to compare the quality to paris' ics the he made for monster 5.3 and stock++. no trying to compare you to others cause everyone is an individual but i just think this is really well done

lol so i was redoing things on my phone and when i was trying to get this back on i forgot to put it on the root of the system. i had the files in the sd card and i went straight to the where they belonged without having changed the permissions, i had only moved the fonts but that put in my a boot loop. the phone would boot up all the way and do then reboot. feeling nooby :rolleyes:

lol that's why i always keep a backup of my current rom on my phone. That way i can just wipe system and advanced restore it from my backup.

alright i got it prefectly on now lol but kage you might want to talk to Spz0 like enigmadroid did so see how to update the script so it can be flashed. i know some people might be discouraged from trying this because of the long tedious method of applying it. and the black lettering in the notification bar really should be white it really hard to see D:

hey you dont have to do it mate, just slinging out ideas. I know that doing this stuff is hard and takes times so Im in no way pushing kotoamatsukami to make you take the time out of your life to this.

I made a killer theme I call grey scale but I can't post it cause I used some paid icons I bought.
What y'all think?
if you like it I can give you the theme without the icons. I'll post the link to the icons and u can buy them. (.99 cents) and I added a cool lwp
