Root Too late for MIUI Gingerbread?

GREAT JOB!! This rom ROCKS. I have been trying out a couple days and I really don't see a reason why I can't use this for my daily use. I had trouble with data on first boot but a reboot solved that. Bluetooth with Torque(OBD) works great, camera ...fine. I haven't tried changing themes or anything. Any suggestions on maybe changing font color? I find it hard to make out on some of the buttons. Thanks again.:) Also, I can't seem to get Big Buttons Keyboard to work, it installs but duos not show in input options, only the default keyboard, any suggestions, I have really big hands.

freeze the stock keyboard then enable the one u want then reboot shuld work then

I have not tried any themes in this rom yet, I guess it's part of the default theme. Depending on what is open, the fonts are lite colored and so is the background and it makes it hard to distinguish between the two. Does that make sense?

yeah its part of the theme there isnt much u can do
 
I've been having problems with wifi
most of the time to get wifi to connect with my router i have to reboot it and at times this happens when trying to turn it off or trying to turn on or off 3g has anyone encountered this problem I've tried a fresh install with both ej06 and fe16 and nothing I really love this rom and this has been annoying me greatly please help
 
Has anyone had any luck with moving apps to SD?
I tried dark tremors apps to SD with no luck and I tried s 2 e for s**** and giggles with no luck.

Kato kernel works, you can just use the /data 2 ext version. Idk if,the kernel supports DTa2sd, but the ROM is based on cm7 so s2e (in market) will work fine
 
Thought this rom was based off Cm 9?
If so there isn't any kernal with sd ext to it for Cm 9/Miui As far as I read
 
So Ive been playing around a lot with this rom and the major problems that I've been having is the responsiveness especially when answering calls.
Also s2e wasn't picking up the extension.
I did something drastic and Ran v 6 supercharger
And it solved the unresponsiveness but the phone ran up a temp of 104! While this was happening I try to setup s2e still with no luck. So I brought up a terminal emulator and got su privileges and type in sclean. It did its thing and then rebooted.
When It booted back up and s2e acknowledged the ext. The phone now is super responsive and I can actually answer calls without lag.
Very interesting! I run 26 downloaded Apps And all of them showed their on the extension.

This rom seems to be a ram hog and I am thinking that the s 2 e running now is what's giving the good response that I'm seeing.
my battery temp is running around 66 since I ran the s clean.

I think all MIUI ROMs are RAM intensive. The one for the Marquee is the same way. As a matter of fact, Bloodawn said basically the same thing in his post in the Marquee MIUI thread.

S2e Seems to be a touchy thing getting it to see the ext. For a while I had it and then I rebooted and I lost all programs :eek:
I remember them times back in Cm 7 lol

Hey bro. Things are going well over in the Marquee section. We've got a few fully functional ROMs and several in the alpha stage. CM9 & MIUI.

As for s2e, I had a few problems with the old version but none with the new one. I guess it's just the phone. You know how that goes. Good to see ya bro. :D

I Odined back to stock and went with a fresh install on this one. Looks like it payed off, my lil phone which doesn't overclock well just broke 2300 benchmark running 888mhz.

What kind of keyboard do you have? I was looking to get one but not sure what kind will work with our phones.
 
know im a little late in the game but just flashed this rom to my prevail and its outstanding running smooth flash this using kato no-ext Nice!
 
Did anyone ever find a way around the keyboard issue with this rom? I froze the stock keyboard and enabled another and rebooted which worked. Then installed another keyboard and had to freeze the old one and reboot for the new one again. Any way to have more than one keyboard installed without having to freeze/reboot in between?

Also, I installed the Swype installer to try to get the beta version and it just hangs at checking installer version. I suppose they could just be having an issue right now but earlier today when I was on CTMod it was working fine. Anyone else running this that can see if it happens with them too?

I guess I didn't look close enough but I just noticed something. If you go to the place in the settings where you enable or disable keyboards, you can disable all the keyboards except for the one you want and then you can use that keyboard. No reboot required this way but still annoying.
 
I did finally get Swype installed but I'm no longer running this rom. The keyboard issue was just too annoying for me because I change my keyboards depending on my mood lol. Too bad too because that's the only reason I didn't stick with it.

Has anyone tried using patchrom to build miui for our phone? I might try building it myself but I'd be afraid to try to install it if I could even get it to build because this is my only phone and I can't afford a new one. Might still have the keyboard problem with this anyway though...
