HA! I'm deep on several motor racing forums, some of which make this look uber controlled when it comes to OT drift. That said, the downside is that its almost inevitable that good stuff gets buried, and questions that have been asked, researched, and answered are asked again and again. It happens here, and on other forums, but this forum moves so fast that these issues are quickly buried by discussions of Stephen's daughter's availability/Kappy tats/and the culture of northern PA etc.

Not sure if there is an answer to this, but maybe an Incredible OT subforum might work. Nah, it wouldn't.

Is anyone afraid it will be at least two weeks? I'm afraid with the iPad launch coming this Saturday the Apple hype machine is in full force. I know iPad is not a phone, but it's tech which will mean it will lead the mainstream media tech sections for the next week at least. Will Verizon want to fight with that?

Sure why not? Anything to steal the spotlight from ATT, Apple, iPad, iPhone, whatever. VZW is waiting for the right time to make a big splash with this

It looked like an inventory screen of somesort to me. Whether VZWs or not I dunno. At my job we have an inventory program, I am in it all the time. It looked somewhat similar, principle wise to that. Maybe it was a 3rd party inventory system? The shipping company? HTC? I dunno
Kappy- i love your idea- and this is my own personal opinion but i find that color very hard to read- can we vote on another color?

Don't like quoting myself, but I still haven't seen an answer, does anyone know?

Even engadget etc ran with the story that it meant there was a warehouse with all these incredibles on hand, I still don't know why we believe that.

Common sense would tell me this was an order to HTC to mass produce, but I obviously don't know the in's and out's of cell phone manufacturing.

On order in most businesses means that the order has only been placed and is sitting in warehouse. In transit would mean that it is on the way to the store. Basically on order is good. In transit would be phenomenal.

I could create a believable looking mock-up of an inventory screen in probably 30 minutes. It would be cake. Then just take a picture of my computer screen with my camera. Done. It would be so easy to do and that picture of that inventory screen looks SO simple. I wouldn't believe that screen, personally. That's just my .02 though.

True, you are pretty ballin' with PS :D

I suppose they could have a manual process using a Microsoft program at the warehouse, but you would think the distributors handling this type of product for such a large vendor would be a bit more technologically advanced lol. I'm not expert on product tracking software, so maybe someone with some experience in that area can chime in and let us know.

You'd be surprised how ancient some of the software these warehouse's use and what not. I'm a clerk at my company and I do some receiving and the like ... I can vouch for stuff not showing up on other systems immediately as it sometimes takes about 24 hours depending on the item.

Venom and everyone else, just chillax.

We don't need any more of those comments. Everybody just drop everything.

Sign a peace treaty and be done with it.

Lets get back to what made this thread great.

Urgent call from President Obama,

Pewpewbang would you like to take a trip to Palistine?

For those of you who believe the Incredible and Nexus One will be released at the same time...this may not be the best information. Hopefully it is an April Fools joke, but personally I do not believe the release dates are connected...

We just reported yesterday that the Verizon Nexus One will be coming in Google

Ok, so "On order" means that that number of phones are already in existence, not an order to be manufactured.

Thank you.

sorry to bring up old crap without looking it up (internet at work - must be used sparingly lol) - who was the source of the inventory screen yesterday and does he/she have access to this screen on a regular basis?

the shown fields in that pic are just open text fields ... you could put ANYTHING in there. it looks relavent just becuase the field subjects are inventory/stock related. a whole screen pic would be more believable.

i may be missing something, but what does the 'evergreen' part of the evergreen specs mean?
An Evergreen post is like the tree. It's staying there, staying green, keeping things in shape the whole time. It isn't going to lose it's leaves in the winter... however, it'll probably get chopped down once we very special announcement gets made (the birth of a very special phone perhaps?) since it's not needed anymore.

Our best guess is that VZW has an order placed on HTC, but its held pending final software build testing. When the final build is blessed, HTC will load the units and ship them to VZW. Its highly unlikely that VZW will attempt to load 150K units in their own system.

If you go back a large number of pages to Tuesday this week, NKT & I worked through this and agreed that's the most likely scenario.

I just received official communication about when the HTC ADR6300 will be both announced and released by Verizon...however, after reading this thread, it looks like posting factual information is off topic, so i'll refrain from posting it here.

Ooooohhh Boy! You really got us with that one.............

Go to BGR with your intel. and feel free to stay there and wait for more info.

No offense to the Incredible, but do you think news of that phone coming out would steal any spotlight from the iPad? Incredible is no longer even the most advanced phone thanks to EVO. Not that i'm an iPad guy, just a realist.
