well it's been a week since my last e-mail to either of the addresses and i have not received any response...i think they have me on ignore now :\

Currently we are considering methods and target models for bootloader unlock to allow customers to install a custom OS(Operating System).
We are looking for efficient and safe methods to support it, and the target model will be selected with careful consideration. (e.g technical barrier such as platform limitation and/or mobile carrier’s policy).
We will let you know when we are ready to support unlocking the bootloader.

this sounds like they are going to try making a tool for One phone (i.e. The Target Model) and that they are probably going to test out the unlocking tool like Motorola and HTC did, have it available for the best sellers first and slowly let other phones onto the list
 
I wouldn't stop sending e-mails though. They could be saying this to keep people from bothering them. I wouldn't stop until they actually do release something.
 
I asked LG if they would kindly unlock there boot loader, this is what I got back.

yeah, that reply still suggests that they are only going to make a bootloader unlocker for a single "target" model....that does not mean it's going to be our model...it will probably be one of the Major 4 phones vs a prepaid non contract phone.
