Ah, that makes sense.

I use Titanium, but the batch installs still require you to hit "install" and then "done" after it's done.

I noticed that google has gotten better at sync'ing apps to the server. It's automatically restoring all the apps to the phone right now.

Just as Don mentioned, it's only for preserving memory/storage. Think of it like this, before you was rooted, and used a2sd did it perform this function if you had to do a wipe?

Oh hey Don, if you want video just flash on 2.52 with 12.2 bt and fixes all camera/video issues (except for 3D of course) :p
 
I am waiting for either a release from KK, or a new release from PA, because you know if I flash 2.52 I have to do a full wipe again and you know once I do that he will release, LOL ;)

You make it sound like it's a huge effort to set a phone up from a full wipe lol

Hell it may be Christmas before we get an update for kk or pa way it's going lol
 
Na, but it does take an hour from start to finish, LOL I have flashed so many dam times, that I don't crave it as much :D

You must be talking about re loading from titanium and getting icons/widgets in place.

I just re load from titanium and do the widgets an all whenever I get to it lol

Edit: after looking over Mazda's aokp thread, it peeks my interest. And we know what happens when a rom peeks my interest :D

That's if I can make it past the Welcome screen lol

Edit 2: can't tell any differences so far between kk and aokp except aokp seems a bit laggy even with lag free governor in place.

Edit 3: can't force the lag out trying all the governor's and data seems to be rather slower than kk even with full and good service.

And it's back to King Kang
 
Well I just tried flashing this. It failed with a critical error. I don't know if I got a corrupt download or if the upload is corrupted. Will try downloading again and look into it more.

Eta:
Well, just checked on the rom Page. Looks like no one can flash the update. Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer :(

Just got the same error message :/

There goes my hopes and dreams of that update we've been waiting on :sly:
 
Yes that is what I meant, once I flash a Rom, I can't leave it as is, I end up setting the whole thing up, so it takes about an hour from start to finish. Exactly as I suspected, he release 2.54, I knew it, glad I did not flash, LOL. I really want Mazda to release a new KK so I can play with that, but I will wait.

Let me know what you guys think of 2.54 if it is worth flashing or not, if yes I will flash either at work or at home tonight. ;)

OK the OP has been updated, and I put the good download from Dev Host until he fixes the Goo download.

Brian, let me know which camera 2.54 has and if you tried 4.2 yet ??

Camera seems to work without flashing BT so that's a good sign. Video and all working too
 
Doesn't look like the 4.2 camera. Looks like the same one Lol I know what you mean about setting everything up. I couldn't wait last night. Was almost falling asleep while I was restoring everything.

I. Tried flashing the 4.2 camera the other day but I don't think it worked. I didn't have any extra features. Haven't had time to really troubleshoot it yet.
When I have more time to play, I will try 4.2 again!
 
You can also try flashing the 4.2 Gapps from what I read @ XDA

Oh man, I see there's been a new release... I just got to 2.52 and I'm not in the mood to update so soon!

However, I'm on 2.52 with 12.2 Buttered Toast (BT) and my camera works, but my video is having issues. As soon as I start recording, the phone freezes and reboots. Anyone else encounter this?

Also, when I first used it, I was able to swipe down the notifications window and see the Bluetooth Icon, Wifi, etc... but that area has disappeared and I only see the notifications. Where can I find the settings for this?
 
Should still be there next to the date, with the 3 lines a a slider in them, tap that, if not hit Menu/Settings if that is what your asking ??

Yes video was a known issue. I had it too. Supposedly its fixed in the new release. I haven't had time to check everything out yet. I'm slammed at work and this will probably be my last post for a while!

Video playback works still but if you try to record, it causes the phone to reboot by itself.
 
Bug I've encountered:

After testing video recording and after it rebooted on its own, any app that you need to type in force closes and a fix of permissions isn't a fix either. Leaving you to restore a nand if you made one after flashing or doing a reflash.

Edit: never mind on the force close just seems to be with TapaTalk pm's

Edit 2: What a rookie mistake, didn't think to restore app only via titanium. All's good now :) still bugs with cam though

I do see the slider on there, but that is not what I was referring to. On first use, after flashing, I was able to see individual icons for Location, Wifi, BlueTooth, GPS, etc on the top row of the notification screen.

I remember this distinctly because I'm coming from ICS Rom and it was contained in a different area so I quickly noticed the difference.

It was gone after a restart. I don't know if this is related to a profile setting or some bug?

Edit: You can see what I'm referring to in the "Theme chooser"
 
Flashing now, have a break here at work now, it's quiet, lets see how fast I can flash and set up from start to finish, lol
