So if it takes so long for verizon to release a phone because of their high standards and rigorous testing, then why are there so many people on this forum alone with phone problems

So the phone call from Apple goes like this;


Here is an offer, non-negoitable. Warehouse the new HTC devices for what ever reason you dream up and in return you get the following;
  • New IPhone 4g in June/July
  • IPad with 4G chip on your network
Release the new HTC devices and we add you to the lawsuit. Petition the court for an order to stop sales of HTC devices and rlease the above to all other carriers.

Do you think VZW would cave or did I just eat some bad sushi last night? :confused:

Only problem with this is Verizon dosen't have 4g and never will!!!!!

However, this would raise some serious antitrust concerns. I'm not saying that it couldn't happen, just that it would most likely be illegal to do so.

I don't think even a few hundred of us bugging this guy about a phone coming out would qualify as anywhere near some kind of DDoS attack. The day Justin Bieber posts about his first shave will generate thousands of times more Twitter traffic

The tech support guy at VZ told me that wimax (sprint) is not truly 4g. it is 3.5 g. Don't yell at me that's what he told me or possibly was told to tell me. ;)

Last time I checked Verizon along with the other carriers are in the "Network" business. The phones are a means to an end. The reason carriers sell smartphones is to drive data usage. If smartphones did not drive usage we would likely be still using voice only dumb phones.

my guess is that they'll implemented tiered pricing plans w/LTE. that would be the most logical time to do it.

Can we endorse pissing in his proverbial cornflakes? It could be seen as returning a favor of sorts...:D

Better than a hostage situation or G-ma's threat to beat him with her granny purse IMO....:rolleyes:

no... a granny's purse is totally acceptable because you don't mess with gramma. you have to honor and respect her even if she hits you.

My brother works for Lucent developing and testing next step wireless. And he explained to me that verizon will never have 4g because there infrastructure does not support it. It would be like them startint from nothing. They will be going LTE though.
He also explained that verizons 3g network isn't even real 3g. Its there own version of 3g. Being a cdma carrier they are a little different then most.

I'm not sure his posts are any more off topic than yours about the palm and it's keyboard... I think they're all fine. I use to fight it myself, now I just bend with the wind...:p
