Root [ROM] CyanogenMod 9 for the LG Spectrum 4G LGVS920

I was able to get WPA2 to work with my N7, but it took almost 30 seconds to connect when using it. For what that's worth anyways.

i havent tried wpa or wpa2 ... i never use anything other than open because I live alone in the woods and don't have neighbors close enough to jack my wifi :p

You using the one I posted or imucarmen posted?

Did you do anything other than fix that one force close bug with the sso thingy death? I'm still running your first build but was wondering if there is any benefit to running the latest one you released...

Maybe I am just not patient enough. I saw limited connectivity and it didn't load a webpage. Changed to open after that and it worked right away.

I'm guessing he might. ;-)

I still use it (MMS), but I definitely don't need it. As soon as someone can get 4G to stick, it'll be my daily. I have it installed now, and can confirm it drops whenever shut off for me (either be it via reboot or airplane/mobile data/lte toggle). Data wipe brings it back in good order....but with a nasty side effect (your data gets wiped). :-P
But does it work?

Came across another bug. When I turn my phone off and it's plugged in, it wants to restart but never gets to the cyanogenmod boot screen. It just sits at LG and the phone gets really hot. It doesn't show the charging animation. Tried turning the phone off unplugged and its fine up until i plug it in to charge.

I wanted to report some of my findings with d2a's second build. I've been using it for about 12 hours and switching from 4G to 3G to wifi and any which way is working well.

However, as I am sitting down to type this out, I checked the Mobile Networks menu under Wireless & Networks settings and I have lost my data signal. I checked which CDMA Subscription I was on so I could report that but the next time I looked after I checked, my 4G disappeared. I still have a couple bars but no data.

The other issues I am seeing as I use this are GPS and battery drain. I tried maps a couple times but never got a solid GPS lock. I could track over the cell network though. The battery seems to drain pretty quickly and recharge is slow. Could just be my usage.

Lastly, I'm having an issue getting debugging to work. I know I had it working and I can still get USB storage to start. Once again, just a first impression.

EDIT: ADB working on ubuntu. Not working on Win7.

Does anyone know of a way to get the battery percentage to display next to the battery indicator? There is no more power saver.

Settings - system - status bar - battery status style.

My report so far:
No reboots
4G reset using the dial code works great
Mms-receive only.
No gps
Apps working fine (even uccw) no titanium restore.

Loving this rom. Can't wait to see AOKP! :-D

To me this is fit enough to be a daily driver. It's holding solid 3g for me, no force closes or reboots, my battery life has greatly increased, charge time seems good, everything is running smoothly. Also the boot time is amazingly fast. I can do a full cycle reboot in under a minute. From off to my home screen is less than 30 seconds.

This is definitely my daily driver now...at least until cm10 is fully functioning.

PS. I don't live in a 4g area and haven't been in one since flashing the latest build so I can't report on that.

Can someone help me out? I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong or not waiting long enough. When using the dial code (*#*#4636#*#*), I go to "Phone Information" then hit the "Turn off radio" button? How long should I wait? Is there anything else I should do while in this menu?

I mentioned in a couple posts ago that I lost data after checking my CDMA subscription. Has anyone else experienced this?

Other than turn the radio back on? I usually wait 3 seconds or so...not sure it's necessary. Turn it off, back on, should have 4G. Also make sure network type (right above radio button) is set tp LTE/CDMA auto (PRL). Mine was not the first time I went in there for some reason and I could only get 3G

Yeah, I've got those settings and turned radio back on. no dice. The cell data seems solid until I go into data settings. Must be something else going on.

No idea. When I lose 4G, all I need to do is go in there are turn it off/on now. Did you do a clean install (Wiping all three)? Did you restore anything using Titanium Backup?

I'm getting 32mbit down and 16mbit up. (This is *far*better than I get in this location on my Galaxy Nexus).

Right after a clean install, it works. Like I said before, something locks up the data when my data settings are accessed. The same thing happened to me yesterday. I just didn't put 2 and 2 together.

just out of curiosity what would be causing the mms to not work. i know in gb some of the roms didn't get mms to work for a while. I don't even know if they ever fixed it but I know they had it working in a couple of them.

Here is where I am at with the MMS deal. This info is mainly for the devs as I'm stepping out to finally go grab some lunch.

First and foremost "DO NOT TRY *228 OR ANY VARIATION THERE OF". I tried and spent 2 hours getting my phone not to roam. I also am permalocked into a new PRL unless I go get a new sim car.

Secondly, the MMS issue appears to be tied into how our phone is sending the message out. It's either tied into the destination string being generated or it has to do with the fact that all MMS messages are sent over the GSM RIL. I'm going to need some time to dig into this issue. For those wondering, even stock sends out MMS over GSM so that part is correct.

I'll update more later tonight.
