Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

I would recommend flashing back to stockish ics and documenting the signal there. CM10/AOKP don't mess with the radio so I don't think your signal issues would be caused by that... but thats just my thoughts.

If you are on AOKP 4.1, you can go in Settings>Rom Control>General UI and type Verizon Wireless in 'custom carrier label'. It will stick everywhere till you do a user data wipe. Again its a cosmetic issue and fixing it this way is cosmetic as well.

The phone restarted and my signal has been solid ever since

It's one of the cool cherry picks in like about aokp. It's a shame it performs worse than cm10 for me... I rather like it.

I've used nova, apex and holo HD as well as about 20 others. Trebuchet always runs the smoothest for me and the only thing wrong with it is that there is no way to hide the apps that I don't care to see in the app drawer.

I'm not looking for an alternative, just wondering if someone had seen a modified trebuchet on xda or something. I recall seeing something like that but I haven't been able to find it since.
 
I'm on CM10 and when I try to transfer my music from my computer to my phone , it reboots in the middle of the transfer. Any idea why?
 
To add to the convo, I found the R symbol comes up when I'm in 1x; I've get 3g symbol when in that coverage. I've flashed a few times and still have the 'roaming' info on the lock screen. Dunno why.

Verizon on both, not sprint lol. also saw 3g then into 4g, no "R". thankyou TDM, and everyone else for all your work and dedication.

So I love cm10 but miss not having swype...know I can DL the beta version but its only good for 6months. I tried to move the lgime.apk the keyboard app using oi file mgr and tried to restore as a system app via antek app mgr pro which gives u the option to do so. No dice with either...anyone else have any suggestions?

hmmm, I'm using swype beta with no problems. I never heard anything about it being good for only 6 months. I always restore my backup of swype beta and it always works no problem. My only complaint is the last update for swype beta broke the dictionary for me. I cant save words, and it deleted all the ones I had saved and the backup I made which was supposed to be linked to my account doesnt seem to work.

Just use another email account to download swype beta with if it's not letting you download it with the only it's registered with.
 
Yeah me too. I'm using an old Swype beta apk from my old OV and I'm pretty sure it's over 6mo old now.

I have noticed that sometimes it messes up and when I go to type the second char it overwrites the first one. Maybe I need to update. But then again jb4.2 is supposed to have Swype like functionality built in, so I'm just holding off for now.

if you like swype and know it in and out the 4.2 keyboard doesnt cut it. Swype is far better than the stock android 4.2 keyboard. My main reasons for liking swype more is 1. swype is smoother 2. in swype you can access the number pad by long pressing the numbers, I can't find this feature in any other keyboard 3. the gestures in swype are awesome for select all, copy, and paste. 4. swype looks better 5. handwriting

I just wish my dictionary would work because I had such a huge list of words and I could swype with almost no mistakes, and now i'm always having to correct because my dictionary is gone :/
 
I just wanted to mention that hardware acceleration seems to be good in the CM9 beta. That HD video I used played perfectly smooth. Don't know if that helps any or not...
 
That actually confirms what I was afraid of and what the post I linked to seems to point to. We're going to need to rewrite parts of stagefright and OMX to get it to work properly in CM10 :( . I'm going to play around with the P930 CM10 and see if I can steal the right files to make it work. I had good luck with picking a few .so files. I just need to find the right ones to get them all to work together hopefully. Github being down is really slowing down this progress.
