^^^ name that quote! First person to PM me the correct answer gets supercalifragalisticexpialadocious G14 classified secret info about the Incredible!

(I know i'm not one of the "rock stars" with 1k+ posts, but there's quantity........................and then there's quality. Don't get me wrong, i'd like to get to "quantity", but i'm very busy with "quality" and other "techoclerking" duties)

And the winner is............(drum roll)..............jjfitz0! He will get some information about 7 seconds before everyone else does in a few minutes!

Long time lurker... Since about page 2... First time poster. All I can say is wow.. this is one heck of a thread! I just wanted to mention, though it may have been already.. With all the talk about the Incredible not coming with a microSD card since it wasn't mentioned in the leaked manual. I checked the manuals for the Droid and the Eris and both of those manual showed how to insert the card as with the Incredible manual. Neither said anything about having a preinstalled card. The Droid only mention that one "may" already be installed. So IMHO hopefully when Verizon finally makes the official announcement it will also include a "preinstalled" 16GB microSD card. :)

Well back into the abyss... Rock on!

Ok cough it up already, anon.

IMAGE REMOVED (SORRY)

I'd like to point out some things for someone to explain to me:
1. Says 8GB Internal memory? This conflicts with the UG
2. Says ROM 512 and RAM 512 this conflicts with the UG
3. Removable Memory is listed 3 times and says up to 16GB and up to 32 GB WTF?
4. Google Over the air updates? Thought this had to come from HTC cause of Sense?

I've been following this thread for a while now, have downloaded and printed the User Guide, and I'm eagerly awaiting the HTC Incredible release.

On that note, here's a txt convo I had an hour ago with a good friend of mine that works at Verizon:

Me: Are you gonna set aside a HTC Incredible for me when it comes out? Best Buy is selling them 4/29, when are you?
Him: 25th
Me: Nice. Let me know what you think about it when you get them in.
Him: Alright. I'll hook you up. Don't buy from anyone else or I'll shoot you.

I asked him about them a week ago and he didn't know anything. Exciting times.

I would have to agree. I just set it up and sent myself a test voicemail. When I got the text, I had no idea what I said. They can only make it better I would say.

If anyone has Google Voice and is just totally turned off by the transcriptions, help Google out. On the bottom right corner of each message, there is a little "Transcription Useful", if you click no, they will ask if you want to give it to google for them to improve the transcriptions. I do it with most my messages and hope that it makes for a better Google Voice.

is this user guide heaven or what?!!! all i can say is im so glad to have found this forum so i can figure out how to use this awesome device!!!!!!!!

I'm getting my hopes up for 720p HD video out of the box. I'll try not to get to worked up about it though, cause I doubt we're getting it.

So the other day - - during our pre-bestbuy confirmation days - I put a call into verizon for something totally unrelated to a new phone, and during the call, I was asked if I'd be willing to take part in a customer survey.

In the midst of a Blackberry storm induced rage, I agreed.

When their system called me back an hour or so later, I gave them high marks for customer service(9/10) and network (10/10).

When it came to the "would you recommend this to a friend" however, I wasn't as nice. (2/10)

When asked to elaborate, I left a diatribe about how they only market phones once the technology behind them is already surpassed in the market and how they never listen to their memberships desires or have no idea whats really out there in the industry, and that I couldn.....

BAH. Timed out.

When I tried again, I got it out, a little nicer, a litter clearer, but still told them that they sucked in the land of smartphone.

They just called me back.

I told 'em I'd gleaned some news of them there interwebs, and was awaiting the new phones they would be launching the end of this month.

VZW:Which model in particular, sir?
Me: Oh, I'm looking forward to the HTC Incredible
VZW: You must have some decent connections, then, sir, I haven't even heard of that one.
Me: Right. Me neither.
VZW: What?
Me: Exactly. Anyway thanks, and please disregard my original rant, I'll be happy come the 25th (or is it the 29th?)

Sure, i'll clear up, if you remove that picture...

1. As i said, the internal memory is there, UG is wrong in this regard.
2. As is stated in the Evergreen thread, this is where there is some conflicting info, either way you get at least 512, but maybe 576.
3. So what, even my Droid can go up to 32 GB so this is completely irrelevant. Don't forget these EG pages can be very wrong, it even showed Sense UI for Verizon Nexus 1 briefly.
4. All this says is that it is OTA update capable, nothing else. It still won't come from Google, but rather Verizon, but just refering to the capability to do OTA.

More to come shortly...i'm also no stalling, just getting some approvals, limitations removed, etc... bare with me.

Who is going to print the users guide up and go into Verizon tomorrow and ask "So, do you STILL not know about this phone?"

Everyone needs to fill out this request form for InvisibleSheild. If they get enough they will support the HTC Incredible (hopefully sooner than later).

Verizon HTC Incredible is already an option in the form, I don't know how I missed this before.

Goto:
ZAGG | invisibleSHIELD | HTC Cell Phone Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins, Invisible Shield

Then at the bottom follow the 'Click here' link:

Can't find an invisibleSHIELD for your device? Click here.

FYI - I personally think IS's are a waste of money. I used those for years until someone on crackberry said to try Phantom Skinz. You get (2) at half the price and without the "orange" peel effect....

How did I contradict myself? I said the PLAYBACK can be in mp4, yes. How do you know the 3gp format can't be in high def? It's a simplified mp4. Oh, and I also said "it's a big hint", I didn't call it the end all. Read it again.

Decoding is much easier to do than encoding. The fact that it can playback really means nothing about recording 720p but it didn't hurt to point out.
