Root [ZIP] MMS FIX FOR CM/AOSP/AOKP (THANKS wolfu)

I like it. I haven't had an issue. EXCEPT one. Digital forgot to put a camera into it >.> Which will be fixed tomorrow.

It has a theme chooser (see attached screenshot) but is pretty much a beta now and still has a few known issues to resolve and new ones coming up like the voice dialer. It should be daily driver quality soon though.

Look for the flashable zip with the Mms.apk. It should be in the Op. Gapps aren't needed (unless you don't have them flashed on your ROM.)

Its not confirmed with all ROMs yet, though. I'm not sure about agrabens...I haven't tried it. I am pretty sure it works with gangnam style, though.

Voice dialer isn't really an issue for me. I don't use it (except to say Open APNs these days :cool:) But other than that, *shrugs* Not a deal breaker. The camera worked. MMS/SMS worked. I might have to flash it again...>.> I'm so indecisive...I need ot get a 64GB card for myself...

In using it as a daily right now, soon as i get MMS working ill be happy. No need for cam or Bluetooth

What 4.2.1 ROM are you using? The Mms.apk app is likely to be different so krowley3 may have to make the same mods to that version that he made to the 4.1.x version.

I've attached the Mms.apk from the latest Evervolv 4.2.1 build for reference.

This was a bit more difficult because after decompiling the apk, I could not get it to rebuild. I finally tried a different method, so give this a try on Evervolv 4.2 and let me know.

Well i sent myself a pic and it went through on WiFi. Then i got 3 pics my friend sent me last night, but they haven't downloaded yet...

I noticed one thing that you might want to change. The file in your zip is named mms.apk instead of Mms.apk and *nix is very picky about case. The permissions are being set for Mms.apk and I think most of the JB ROM's use that name by default, so if you stick to that it shouldn't be necessary to delete the default MMS app since it will be overlayed by the one in the zip file.

Hope that makes sense. ;)

I have a working MMS apk for MIUI that I got on the forums here...don't remember from WHO...but I have one...Once I finish flashing slimrom I'll pull the MIUI zip and upload the MMS apk for you...just drop it into the ROM, flash the ROM, set your APNs, and you're set..

Just give me like 5-10 minutes..
