If the Incredible is offered with a mail in rebate then I would do Best Buy because they don't do rebates and give it you instantly. If no rebate, then it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, maybe the two microsoft phones monday, samsung reality tuesday, nexus one wednesday, that UBS plug in modem thing thursday, and friday: INCREDIBLE! all 6 phones each day, since they did say it was a journey, and it only begins monday.

I think you would have a better chance of 2 phones a week for 3 weeks. If they announce all 6 in one week something will get lost in the stampede and some phones will get ignored. Ya gotta let the phones breathe.

Hey, phone disposal question: Does anyone have a recommended cell phone disposal method? Any certain entity that is reputable? I have two others at home besides the one I am going to dump when this little savior comes out, and I want to make sure I give/send my phones to a reputable firm that will process them properly. I am in Chicago if anyone knows of anyone local. I found a couple on Google, etc., but I also hear stories about how some firms just turn around and take them to the dump or otherwise don't send them where they way they're going to.

Before you sell/donate or get rid of your phone make SURE that you delete all your data off of it!! There are loads of stories of VZW not doing this properly when phones are exchanged for repair. Check out this site:

I've used it and it was great. You put in your phone make and model and email address and they send you an email with full instructions to make sure that ALL of your data is safely erased by you before you get rid of it. I've never gotten any spam email from them and their instructions worked great for my phone.

Can any of the insiders or techies supply any knowledge on expected read/write speeds for the internal memory? For example, would a class 6 or 10 card be faster than using the internal memory?

This matches the information leaked from Best Buy! Hopefully the same is true about the 29th release date for the Incredible. I'll be sure to check first thing Sunday to see if they feature the Curve and the Chocolate Touch in the Best Buy Sunday ad.

I asked this a few pages back and got no response....One last try.

I read in the UG that this phone works with Microsoft ActiveSync (whatever that is) versions 2003 and 2007 only. I get my work email (who uses Outlook 2000) on my blackberry through POP3 or IMAP, not sure which. Am I going to be able to get my work email on this incredible through POP3 or IMAP or do I have to use ActiveSync, thus making it impossible for me to them since work uses 2000??

Does any of that make sense?!?!?

Hey thanks for that Steven58, appreciated and of course I'm sure i speak for most of us when i say we're very appreciative of you and all you bring to the table. Thanks for keeping the humor going and spirits high.

This thread has come such a long way and I'm not beyond organizing "An Incredible Reunion" in Orlando or some other destination of everyone's choice for us all to meet and finally put a face to a name. After nearly 600 pages, 30k posts, and almost 2 million views (not to mention countless exclusives, leaks, photoshop exposures, etc...) i think we deserve it! So out of pure curiosity...who would be interested in making a weekend out of it when we all have an Incredible in our hand???

I ***might*** (emphasis on might) be able to pursuade Rob (AF owner) to somehow get involved...maybe some t-shirts dedicated to the thread, maybe partial cost participation, or the start of a new annual tradition for whomever can make it...who knows, could be big, but even big things start off with a first step, and we could be that first step.

Your talking about two different things. ActiveSync allows you to sync your content on your phone with your PC (contacts, messages, calendar, ect). I think Android supports POP3 and IMAP right?
