***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

This is a bit OT (don't act so shocked! :p) I've just made plans to be in California to visit my sister in LA. So, I'm sorry to say that the week after next, which is the week before the debut of the Incredible, I'll be online a lot less. I know there are about 3 or 4 people who are singing Hallelujah, about now!;)


Speaking of my sister, remember she bought a Tour yesterday, well she'd thinking about the Incredible when it comes out, returning her Tour. I hope she does.

Basically, underclocking/overcolcking refers to adjusting the clock speed of a CPU. For example, the QSD8650 in the Incredible is designed to operate at 1GHz. Underclocking it simply means to reduce that speed through programming whereas overclocking means to increase the clock speed.

It's like tuning a car for performance (more horsepower, more heat, lower fuel economy), or economy (less horsepower, less heat, greater fuel economy).

No, it doesn't have to be one of your F&F numbers. GV has the option to send SMS's received via GV to email now. Since the data plan/Android supports PUSH gmail, you get your texts instantly via email. You can reply to the email and it sends it via your GV number so the recipient sees your GV number not your email address. It's really quite simple...

Don't forget there is also an Android App for Google Voice. Allowing you to send/receive SMS messages via the Application itself instead of email.

O M G - I was SO totally rollin' when I read post #9!
I thought I kinda let him have it Doh! errrr.... post #6 let him have it in the last sentence, but #9 just totally pummeled him into next week! :p :D ;-b

That's one of the first apps I plan on getting. I just wish they would add picture messages to GV so that I could drop Verizon's texting plan altogether.

Same here! When I read that blog this morning, I started to type a reply, but when I was done it looked something like post#9. I hit "delete," and decided not to respond. I'm glad someone else said what most of us were thinking!!:D

Oh, and your post was funny too;)
 
After I burnt to video cards up from slightly over clocking them...I decided over clocking wasn't for me. There are quite a few folks that have over clocked their moto droids to 1ghz and pretend that it still runs cool as a cucumber but I still think they are just shortening the life of their phone.

Coming from a Dare, I think I'm gonna order the Droid and get used to Android OS. Pay the 35 dollar restocking fee, justify it with my excitement.
