Root Odin Image File Creator 4.0

Yes, for the past 2-3 month I only run TWRP and Odin Backup was running perfectly ( all test versions from Kouma )...... Just not the newly released 3.5 version.....

Kouma,

the latest version prior to the 3.5 release works fine, with CWM and TWRP.... I PM you the link to this version and an included logfile so you can see the difference !

Yes, I have over 10GB free ...... See below :

Do you want to leave the SD-Ext backup on the SDcard? y/(N):
backup complete
backup files can be found at C:\Users\Tom\Downloads\Android\Odin Backup\Odin Re-Packer 3.5 - With sdext Backup\2013_02_06_1103
sd_ext_backup.zip is a CWM flashable copy of your SD-ext.
Press any key to continue . . .

I answered "y" to leave a copy of the sdext backup on the sd-card and the file is NOT on the sd-card....... and NOT on the computer !! Seems like the file got never copied to either the comp or the sd-card...... The file is not there, maybe that's the issue : " /sbin/sh: zip: not found " ! Didn't you say you will rename the file to SDEXT_Restore.zip or something like that ???? Could that be the problem ??

EDIT : Correction : I have 9.42GB free on my sd-card !

/sbin/sh: zip: not found

this is the problem. You still have something in your phone's system partition that is taking up available space. My suggestion is to flash back to a stock +cwm/twrp image and then reinstall ctmod. Then do not install or make any files in /system. I recall from PMs with you, that you had tried to make a /system/swap folder to point the internal data partition to to use for swap but did not have a successful mount tot hat location at boot. This is probably the source of all your troubles. Your phone was probably trying to swap write to /system and locked your freespace.

I had given you a one-off version to work around your /system problem so that you could wipe it and fix it. The official version does not provide a workaround for such an issue

Hmmmmm, well, I did not set the swap anymore after that..... And how come, cwhatever is experience the same issue ? Works with CWM but not with TWRP ?

UPDATE :

Didn't change anything, no wipes, just flashed CWM back and the backup is working.... So it's the same what cwhatever reported ! Version 3.5 works with CWM, but doesn't create or copy the sdext_backup.zip when TWRP is installed..... not to the computer and not to the sd-card !

I'll look into it. I swear it worked for both on my end.

Edit: TWRP doesn't set it's PATH variable to include /system's binary folders.
try 3.6

Tried the 3.6 and won't even work at all!

Please tell me you're joking. Or that you forgot to extract a file.... damnit, I'll make sure I put all the files in the zip when I get home.
If I forgot something, you should be able to just put the bat file from 3.6 as a replacement to 3.5's.
Also, if you could be more specific about it not working, that would be great

I have no idea? Just ran again to be able to tell you what went wrong and now worked perfectly fine, asked at end if wanted it on sd card and was there and on pc? Don't know why but worked fine this time around and did nothing differently? Sorry for the scare!

ahh, ok. I think that's the random, "the phone takes too long to reboot into recovery, so just run the batch file again" bug
:D:D:D:D:D:D

Hi Kouma,

Thanks for fixing it !!!

Been a Packer Fan since 1.0 Just tried 3.6 and it is great. I like the option to keep the sd-ext zip on the sdcard too.

Great Job, Koumajutsu!
