Root (ROM)(Beta)LG-MS770 Deodexed/Debloated/Base Rom

I haven't had a chance to flash but I deem this package as malware free...

I've come across a couple "new devs" in my time that HAVE added snoopware and PC virus packets to tab and phone "ROMs". Its nice to see that you are honest. :D

Could I have a bad sd card? I have factory reset, re-flashed e (so its clean), re-root with 2nd_init recovery installed, then followed the instructions letter for letter and at step 11 when it starts its process it instantly stops with "bad file error". I have tried it with both downloads(your original and the one at Dev-Host).

Going to try it again with another sdcard!

Try flashing D or C ;)

That is strange.

Are you downloading the zip file directly phone or PC then copy to SD. Try one or another and see if it makes difference.

Also D-h.st, it provides MD5 sum so check with MD5 tool (available free from various sites) after download.

heres what I am getting:

E:Can't open /sdcard/10_signed_020613_114144.zip (bad)

edit::: must be the card.....replaced the card and its doing its thing now...

no Gmail

edit: I guess I should have elaborated. There is no Gmail, and when installed it says the Service has stopped. Is their a work around for this using this rom?

Gmail is intentionally removed

I just downloaded it from market and installed. After short sync message it works fine.

I am wondering if theres uncleared cache and data from your gmail.open up app manager find gmail then clear data and cache. Try to launch again and see if it helped. you may uninstall then reinstall after clearing cache and data

I cannot provide details at this point but once you have good working set up of android kitchen, the kitchen will do it for you.

You just select option - deodexing and that's it :)

But setting up kitchen is little tricky because it involves with installing java and other stuff.

Thanks Bard :D
I actually have all those programs in my laptop, i just havent checked them out yet :p

I dont know why other ppl are having problems with this. I had a rooted version of firmware e, then flashed this and everything works great so far. My benchmarks went down a little, but i still have to make the same tweaks i had previously. Good work Bard i like it. Now i can get google now...

I tried to flash over c and I got the morning call error, and I tried it multiple times with both files so I know I'm not doing anything wrong.

I am going to assume that my problem was due to a bad sd card. I changed it and it installed. Don't know what the Gmail issue was but I re-did it then installed Gmail and its working as well.

I run mine underclocked (918mhz) so I cant comment on the benchmarks since I never run them anyway. All the aps I use work well with this rom.

Could not get the SystemUIBlack.apk to work (locked up) so I am doing without that for now. Will know about battery life in a day or so!!

Thank you for testing & confirming.
I will mention about firmware version (must use E) on OP :)

I really appreciate you guys testing with your own phone.

Anyway you could possibly de-odex version C for us please?

Actually I am thinking about creating a rom that works on all version of Firmwares. (I am not sure if it's possible or not..)

It seems like all firmware files are located @ /system/etc/firmware. Currently my rom contains those files in ROM making it heavy and conflicting with other versions.

I am going to make a rom without the syste/etc/firmware folder and check.
