Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Han, I swear by SquareTrade. Everything I own electronic (other than cell phones) has a plan. HIGHLY recommended!

Do you know if they cover the actual value of the phone ($650), or just what you actually paid at a subsidized rate? The receipt they ask for shows I only paid $200. . .

Squaretrade does NOT cover your device if lost or stolen, however Verizon's insurance does. So keep that in mind when making your decision.

True. Do you know if you can purchase Verizon insurance as a one-time payment, or do you have to do the $15 a month thing? I'd rather just pay it all on a lump sum.

Greetings Nexlings!

Does anyone know if SquareTrade is legit? Supposedly I can buy 2 years' coverage with accidental damage protection for $99.

They say they will repair or replace the phone up to 4 times in the 2 years!
Seems a bit too reasonable.
I'm like 75% sure that my brother and dad use SquareTrade - let me confirm and get back to you.

Sounds very, very familiar though.

I think it's original retail value.

Yeah, I think you're right. I'm shooting them a question about it now, and if so, I'll go ahead and do it.

I'm pretty careful about keeping my phone in an inside pocket at all times, and I've never lost or had a phone stolen, but I'm worried about breaking it.

So yeah, I went ahead and became a sheep. But I still love you guys and will drop in as often as I can! :D

Man, they freeze you in carbonite and you still go over to the dark side?! ;)

Enjoy your new toy Hans Olo :D

Morning! So i guess that means SwiftKey Flow Beta will be expiring soon huh? I really like that keyboard, so will definitely be supporting swiftkey 4.

Had a delta flight run off into the grass/mud here in Savannah last night. Came in hot, and tried to make the turn for the last taxiway, but didn't make it. I just pictured Cap'n facepalming at his colleague. :p

Ouch. I haven't seen that one yet. Not a good day for that pilot.

Yep, I'm a sucker for torture.

Actually, I've got a bit more in my "gadget fund" and will be saving some for when the Motorola unicorn finally shows up.

I figure having 2 interchangeable toys will be a lot of fun.

Ask BB, she knows! ;)

"Most complications and outcomes reflect those found in previous breast implant studies including tightening of the area around the implant (capsular contracture), re-operation, implant removal, an uneven appearance (asymmetry), and infection. In addition, investigators observed fissures (cracks) in the gel of some Natrelle 410 implants. This is a characteristic called gel fracture and is unique to this implant."

I don't know about this gel fracture stuff... does it come with a warranty?

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, Ryan... I'm not trying to make light of this. Could have been misconstrued. I'm trying to minimize risk is all :o

Well I'll be......no one around here can keep a secret!! :p

Haha, I saw the word firmer in there. Is that one of the biggest selling points?

Isn't it always? ;)

I completely agree. Minimize risks is always better....Been a long time coming for a better device.

That said....warranty yes. But choose your surgeon wisely..
.Please do not have your child's dentist be your surgeon.....Hence some of the horror stories that I have heard.

It was like winning the gym lottery tonight - the muscle head attendance was low, the TV on the treadmill I picked worked AND Pitch Perfect is the movie of the day! Made the 47 minutes go very quickly.
Only downside was when I walked out of the gym the Nabisco factory is sending out delicious smells of baked yummies. Cruel to put a baked good factory next to a gym!

Wow, it's cruel but genius! :p

Good Morning all! Ryan, great link to a great approval. I have to agree with you on the surgeon choice, it is critical to a good outcome that the surgeon specializes in breast reconstruction for women post cancer. I myself have been there. I had a double mastectomy almost 7 years ago. I went to a breast surgeon who specialized in breast removal and a plastic surgeon who specialized in re-construction of breasts post cancer. The results have been fantastic! Since the reconstruction, we moved and I switched to Duke University Medical Center. Even the specialists there have all commented on what a great reconstruction I had done and wanted to know who did it. I had silicone implants from Inamed (allergen) and have had none of the potential issues. More important though than the reconstruction is Early Detection. Please Ladies, do not miss your Mammograms! And for you gents out there, make sure the woman in your life get Mammograms as recommended. My cancer was detected early and even thought the current treatment for breast cancer is breast conservation (lumpectomy and radiation), My husband and I opted for the double mastectomy in part because I was only 43. While having cancer is always scary, with the right surgeons, reconstruction was a breeze and made the whole experience an adventure.

They showed everything but the system. I'm guessing they are waiting for E3 Expo to show it. I'll be getting one and probably one for my nephew.

I will probably be shipping the new xbox and/or playstation in protest over their attempt at squash the used gaming industry. One of my best friends own a game store and this will might put him or of business. It hurts the whole industry because game prices will probably go up.

Jhawk, you don't think the lack of backwards-compatibility will hurt PS4 sales? I know my son isn't the least bit interested in buying his games all over again... so the PS4 doesn't appeal to him at all. This could backfire big-time on Sony... and they can't afford a backfire. They're on the ropes like Blackberry is.

I don't think it will hurt sales as long as the price is right. The ps3 originally had complete backwards compatibility with ps1 and ps2 games but because the price was so high, it sold terribly.

The no backwards compatibility is not because of they can't do it, but because it's adds expense and because it doesn't support their agenda for crushing the used game industry.

No work for me today. The foot of snow in my driveway and street pretty much shut that down. Of course, none of the aircraft companies are officially closed because they don't want to have to pay people.

he i love snow sent it here to me its upper 30's today so we can same a little bit hehe :D

i think i am going have to agree with everyone here i think geting rid of backwards compatibility will kill PS... i hope xbox has i(if not ill keep my 360) but i know even to today the 360 is only 200$ and i can still play my old original xbox games on the thing so i don't think have the capability wont add them much of a cost unless they use different game formats in that case there would have to extra readers and software i can see that getting expensive
