OK, I actually did a little homework (Scary thought :D) and found a couple of apps that I am going to try out for this functionality. Unfortunately, I can't try them until I get my incredible. :( They are Setting Profiles and Tasker. The first I found at appbrain, and the description looks good. The second isn't there, but the posts I read about it make me think it's still in beta, to be released soon.

Hope this helps, and if you try them out before I do, please let me know how they work.

Locale is a great app to try- basically does all the same things as Setting Profiles, except more, and its rated better, more downloads, etc. Yes it costs a little more, but its phenomenal.. Great app to have, along with Where's My Droid and Zombie Run :D
 
NKT has be curiously quiet. Are you still out there buddy?! Can you confirm the Mock-Up Inventory screen we saw earlier today? I know if you had any new info you'd let us know as you're one of our most trustworthy contributors with true "insider" info.

Honestly, if this week is left for Microsoft only, I wouldn't be surprised. Kind of sucks with us just sitting here waiting, but what can ya do?

Hey all.I've had to quit cold turkey the last few days as I was preparing for my last exam, until boards that is. Wanted to post todays events for me. Some (maybe most) is a re-hash of what is known but I also wanted to thank those that have posted good information and kept the thread going and mods at bay.
I know this is a buyer be ware world but somethings are a little ridiculous to do just for a simple sale, ever hear of a long time customer. Anyway, on to the story. So I got done with my exam around noon on monday and needed to trade in some games and pick up mulch for the wife. SO I decided I'd stop in to the local, non-corporate store to probe for info on the incredible and look at some other phones for the wife. The rep looked up our account and said yes you are eligible for NE2 with $50 rebate on 1st line (mine). I won't just buy a phone for my wife before her trying it out so I took the reps card and said I'd talk to my wife. Well, my wife wanted to head to Roanoke this evening and return some stuff and spend time together. We stopped at the corporate Verizon store expecting to upgrade her phone. NO DICE!!! So got to talking to the CSR and found out that the non-corporate rep was jobbing me out of another $50 dollar rebate ($100 for every 2 year upgrade, $50 for every year upgrade on primary line). She was offering me the 1 year upgrade, 4 days from when my NE2 was up (which is 4 months before your 2 year contract is up). What a b****h. I know the non-corporate rep is paid on commission but she not only lost mine and my wife's commission b/c she tried to job us but I will spread the word to students, who are looking to upgrade to smart phones for rotations to not even bother with that store.
So for some incredible news. I told the CSR that my wife liked the Palm Pixi but I was waiting. He asked for what and I told him there is a new phone out towards the end of the month. He asked if I cared to share which one that was as he was aware of 6 (SIX) coming out in April/May. I said it was a HTC phone. He said oh, you mean their new android phone. I said yes, you'd heard anything not on the forums. He mentioned that it was due out toward the end of the month based on the information he has received from corporate but did not have an exact date. Anyway, that is my incredible news. Thanks for reading my ramble.
One more thing. Anyone think it'd be awesome if they made a commercial referencing a box from montana and as theyopen it cut away (kinda like the original storm commercial but have the guys/girls open it just say INCREDIBLE!! Thanks again MM, Kappy, Anon, apang, NKT, and any others I missed.

does anyone know if the voice recognition is as good on the INC as the DROID? I like being able to speak to it and its good interpretation of what im saying.

EDIT: since its not out... I should be saying will the INC have something similar... :)

666 was also a song by the metal band Anvil in the 80's. :cool:

Oddly enough, it is also one of the phone number prefixes in our city here (we have 661, 662, & 666), which I thought unusual, when we first moved here from the Bay Area 10 years ago. :rolleyes:
