so the launch package still says 16gb micro sdhcis that now set in stone??? no 32gb option?
Only a matter of time for http://www.htc.com/www/product/incredible/overview.html to work![]()
There is no family data plan. To see how much it will cost:Thanks, I didn't think so. Any idea on how much a 1400 minute family unlimited data plan runs for 2 smartphones? it looks like it will be either $180 or $150, 150 is a way easier sell![]()
It will support 32gb.... hell even the Droid Eris and Motorola Devour support 32gb... and until the prices come down on the 32GB cards since they are 200 bucks it's not really a real issue for most people yet but it does support it.so the launch package still says 16gb micro sdhcis that now set in stone??? no 32gb option?
but certainly more on topic then lots of other conversations. I am not a verizon customer and I'm wondering a couple things:
A) I don't see on their website a better deal on the data plans if you buy the phone outright (like tmobile)
B) My plan @ ATT does not end until 5/8 so I can't port my number, which isnt a HUGE deal to me, but will be for my wife, so I was thinking I will pre order it and change numbers on a regular plan then on the 8th upgrade to a family plan and add my wifes ported number and she can get another. Is there another way where both our numbers can be ported besides waiting until the 8th?
C) what price range am I looking at for 2 of these? from the website it looks like it might be about $180 a month for 1400 minutes + unlimited data and text? can anyone confirm that? Or do I need the talk only if I get a smartphone with data??
Thanks for the help.
PhoneScoop interpreted this a bit differently...
"Verizon Wireless today took the wraps off the long-rumored HTC Droid Incredible, the newest phone in the carrier's Android lineup. The Droid Incredible will be available online from April 19, and in stores from April 29. The new device will cost $300 with a contract, and a $100 mail-in rebate, which comes as a debit card, is available. Verizon also says that shortly after launch, the phone will get access to Skype and NFL Mobile, two services the carrier has been pushing recently. The phone features a 3.7-inch, WVGA touchscreen using OLED tech, as well as an 8 megapixel camera around back. The interface is Android 2.1 with HTC's newest Sense UI on top. Inside, a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor drives the action.

Read the bold highlight very carefully...
I've got serious doubts with Verizon and their ability to ship product...Too many times they promise next day delivery, esp. close to the weekend and they, like always F*ck it up.What part of "DELIVERED 4/29 are you missing?
If you pre-order online, do you get the instant online discount?
I am just wondering how much I have to pay on Monday 4/19 to pre-order with my NE2 discount?
Same thing if I wait until 4/29 to go to the store and buy it there.
Has anyone heard when Best Buy will start to do pre-orders?
Pre order online you get instant discounts and the phone is delivered to your door on the 29th which is the day the stores will have it BUT if you buy in store you will get mail in rebates.
Really? Where does it say that? In the e-mail I got, it says:
"Pre-orders placed online before 4pm local time on 4/28 will be delivered 4/29"
It leaves the warehouses on 4/29, but we may not get it until May!
Unless I missed something?

Funny. The "contact" I mentioned a couple of months ago, who told me that the N1 would NOT be sold in stores and that the Inc was still in testing and had not release date is the same person who authored the press release. I've been emailing her back and forth regularly since. She's a wonderful and decent person, who treated me with respect throughout. Classy. Funny, she'd be the one who authors the press release.

Does VZW typically require sigature for FedEx delivery? Don't know if I need to take work off or not...
