Has anyone downloaded the lastest Google Play store?

Is it working properly for anyone outside of the US?

No, reading reports elsewhere on the internet would indicate that anyone outside the US will receive that neutered version of the market if they update now.

So, until it is rolled out internationally, I wouldn't recommend others update.

Here's a look at it.

is it me or does the designers of UI's seem to be a 5yr old with a box of crayons?

Doesn't that look similar to the way the old app market looked a lil while back with that green and white like that?

Google and UI haven't been a very good mix lately. Their new mandatory reply window for Gmail makes me want to use another e-mail service. Hell, I started using my Hotmail (now Outlook) account a lot more because of it.

If only I'd seen this thread before I updated! :(

At least I was able to go back!! :)

yep i think they got a drunk monkey running the show over there.... Maybe an x apple guy or two

Won't download/update. All I want is apps. I've disabled Google books, movies, music. I'll buy stuff elsewhere rather than Google.

I'm glad I never updated Gmail. I get it via IMAP on computer, phone and tablet.

BTW, now they have a checkbox on the PC site. It's automatically checked to stay logged in.

Maybe there a lot of people that cant really see the old google plays design , they seem pretty small to me . Specially on this phone , im sure my mom wouldnt be able to see it well . Shes been working on pcs for about 25 years so her sight isent the best . Maybe thats a beta ? Maybe there going to put the optional resize of tyles ? Im sure not everyone has 20/20 vision

Has anyone figured out about data not being given or all apps update automatically by default?

It looks like crap. There's nothing on that screen I'd want. And I'll bet Google still hasn't learned how to sort things so they make sense.

The problem isn't the size of the tiles/icons, its the ugly color scheme that's the issue.

They have a new guy running Android now. The same goof ball that has messed up YouTube. both the site and the app. I think the guy also runs that god awful Chrome.

For some reason and I'm guessing its the new guy that took over. He has an obsession with white, bland, boring looks. I bet he's some plain, boring, white room nerd.

Seems to me there isn't any imagination left in that company. I think they just hand the design tools over to their 5yr kids and let them go at it. whatever the kid comes up with they use.:pcguru:

Its already pushing out. Just give it time. I got mine already.

Edit: Try closing out your play store and opening it again to force the update. Worked for my mom. Do that a few times. Should work.

Both of my RAZR's updated automatically (no choice)

Yeah that's normal. Everyone gets the update sent to their phone automatically. The reason people bother with the .apk is because the releases are staggered over several months, usually, and people get impatient.
