Tragedy - two explosions at the Boston Marathon

CNN is claiming that the JFK Library incident was only a fire.

Details are still confusing.

Local News press conference with the Boston Police Commissioner has confirmed it was an incendiary device at the JFK Library, connection to other events not established. The two other devices have been destroyed by authorities and they have recommended folks in Boston remain indoors.

Fire, but found it was caused by an 'incendiary' device? Details are all over the place between news stations. The JFK lib isn't on the BM path, so makes you wonder. This is awful, I work all over Boston

Things are still so fluid and uncertain, so many things flying around, who knows what is true or not. I'm saddened to see the injury count go up, I hope the numbers stop growing immediately.

OK, I may be too dumb to understand this. Cell phone service is still shut down in Boston but they are saying to use texts or facebook to get in contact with family. I guess they can separate the two so it seems data is still up.:dontknow:

The pictures and reports are so hard to see and hear.

Not sure how they divide it up. Maybe someone in the area can confirm what works.

I just recently saw photos of injured and it's so bad. There's splatters of blood everywhere on the sidewalks.

This is way too reminiscent of 9/11 for me, i.e., the continuous coverage on TV, the blood and gore, the speculation, the shutting down of subways...just all of it. It's like a really unpleasant case of deja vu.

Caught the last part of the first question from an unidentified member of the press at the Governer's press conference. "Is this another attempt to curtail our civil liberties?" In regards to the heightened Police presense and bag checks that will go into affect. What a complete a-hole. What the heck else is the government supposed to do? Just act like nothing happened? I can barely believe the callousness of that question. Governer Patrick replied No and turned the podium over to the FBI. I'm not posting anything else on the subject. I just wanted to express my disgust at thinking like that at this tragic time.

RIP to those who died, prayers and hope for those injured...some really gruesome sights.. lived my whole life in MA, this type of crap always hurts but especially when its close to home... such a special day in Boston sabotaged by sick cowards.. absolutely awful. :banghead:
