Root [ROM][WIP]CM10.0.0.l0-BobZ

the screen standby app lets you adjust brightness in the 4-22 rom but button backlights still won't work. wish i knew what was changed for button backlights to work. maybe i could just add it to the 4-22 rom manually using a root browser.

If you flashed the latest build 1x is 4G but the system doesnt reads it but it is 4Glte already if speeds are slow is your area

with stock i get around 2Mbps, but with the new build I get around
.5Mbps. Could changing the prl make a difference?

(both tests were done with 3 bars, in the same spot)

What prl are u on? Mine was slow at first but ran a few speed tests and it is back to 2.5-3mbs try turning airplane on then off then retest
Im on 3032 and in st.clair/marysville MI

I flashed the newest one but the lock screen backlight thing was annoying along with the temp fix so i will be using 4-22 for the moment.

I'm so in love with the work that has been done so far. I personally LOVE all of this, It's amazing how good we're doing. I don't mind the call echo one bit, headset with mic, duh, easy fix ;) I love the texting and MMS work you have done. And now you have even given me LTE, I just, Ah! The force closes. I am not able to enjoy the 4g with all the force closes :( I'll be going back to stock for now, for I didn't make a backup of the previous build because I was so excited to get 4g :p, and I feel too lazy to mess with all the settings that I did previously :p
No school tomorrow though! And since I have little to no social life, I'll probably do it all around here, and maybe. Just maybe, I'll use the pushed changes files to get 4g and attempt to get it working without the force closes that may have been caused by the other changes coming with this build (If you know something bad may happen, please stop me from doing anything stupid :p) Wish me luck!

Thank you so much for everything BobZ :)

What will that do?

The lights files controls the hard keys, and brightness, and backlight.

When you remove it, hard keys will not light up and you will not be able to change your brightness without root dim. But it fixes the backlight problem.

I use my phone essentially as an iPod, so staying with 4-22 would be the same (I don't use data/call/text). Hopefully the next build fixes it. :)

i unzipped the 4-28 rom and copied the lights.msm8960.so to the hw folder in 4-22 using root browser lite and now i have brightness fix without the annoying random reboots and no wallpaper selector crash.

just figured out if you turn off the screen so that the backlight is on and then turn it back on but then turn it off really fast the backlight will be off. just make sure your fast or it won't work.

Yeah I noticed that too. I'm just going to wait until the next build.

you can just copy the lights lib and get brightness on 4-22 rom without the crashes etc...

But isn't that lights lib causing the backlight bug? that is the the only thing that is wrong with the rom for me. You cant change the brightness in 4-22 but it's better than the backlight bug.

yea but off on off works to turn off backlight without any app. sure it's three clicks instead of one but better than no brightness or button backlights for me anyway. the more you use the 4-28 rom the more random reboots and app crashes you get. i don't get any of that on 4-22 with lights

anybody know what was changed to get 4g working? maybe it's just the test modules that were added causing the crashes and reboots and we can just add 4g to the 4-22 rom like the lights file and have a working rom with lights and 4g and no crashes. or maybe just remove the cifs and tun modules in 4-28.

from what i gather the tun module is for vpn which i don't care about anyway. i know i'm just grasping at straws here but nothing ventured nothing gained. i compared the build.props and it looks like 4g is just some changes in build.prop under #ril properties.
