Root Update from ZVA to VV3 Or VV4

Nice! Hey sammyz can we update the OP with "make sure phone bill is paid"? Hahaha, glad you found the problem :D:D

Haha, gee thaaanks. But in all honesty, I'm flashed to VV3, miamiguy's rom, and everything is running very smoothly. However I don't really get 4G coverage around my house like I used to. I do use wi-fi and it's not an issue but there's been times when my internet is out and I used my old phone to tether.

I'm sure I'll sort it out though. Unless there's a baseband I'm not installing or forgot to look at.

Why can't anyone figure out how to root vv4? Their is always a way, I can't believe LG figured out a way to stop us from rooting vv4 and vv5. Where are the super hackers at? ;)

Has anyone tried the motochopper exploit yet? I'm sure it can be rooted somehow too, but most have moved on to bigger and better handsets.

Yes very true I'm waiting on either the n4 white or g2 plus I don't own a laptop with stable internet

I moved to somewhat better lol. Bought a Premia because I couldn't take one more day of a phone running Gingerbread :D I have Vanilla ICS now... Definitely not as good as Jellybean but a huge step up at that. Only until I get my nexus ;)

I wish PG would finish the CM10.... ;-)

PG would have finished it if he could have, but RIL related stuff on the Connect has been a bitch thus far. He has a device to work with but there is only so much he can do. Motion got theirs working a lot quicker because there are scores of people who helped with testing and searching for all they needed. Here there is a dwindling number of people who can help.

Zandersig, jlede, kiroshi, justenjoy, segamanxero, myself and a few others are pretty much the only ones who mostly offer to help and/or check in regularly. We're outnumbered when it comes to pushing for CM10, ya know?

If anybody has more ideas on what we can do in the search for 4G/ICCID files or any other things the Connect needs, I'll help when and if I can. I'm married with 3 kids and summer is almost here, so the window of opportunity is quickly closing here. Family definitely comes first, guys.... I, too hope everything is going well with PG and his wife :(

Hey Zandersig did you fix your phone yet?

I got it back working but I'm still having the same problems, plus now it seems to be running real slow for some reason?

Yea I can test stuff, all I do is look for a job, been looking for almost 2 years now so I have lots of time for CM10. :)

That dwindling number is due to the price of the phone and the problems that come with it for that price. It's not worth anything :/

Basically, if you bought this phone, you bought yourself a device that went down in value faster than you can say oops.

Now if LG would be smart and release full source of device, then it would have some value, but nope.

Any brand would make a ton of money if they always released full source with all their devices. It seems to me that with each new device, it's becoming more like Apple: getting locked up to the point of making the phone work for someone who doesn't know how to use one.

Man I know just what you mean. It's like we buy stuff but we can't do what we want with it. Just like the PS3, PSP, etc, etc. It's a bunch of bull! I thought Android was open sourced the phones should be also!
I really despise companies that think they still own the product that we forked over a ton of money for. Piracy be damned not every one hacks their electronics to pirate stuff even if it's true the companies are so rich now they don't loose any money from the 2% that actually pirate stuff..... Burns me up!

Yup. LG has burned me 3 times LOL. That's why I went with Premia instead of Spirit. I see that the Nexus 4 has that God awful LG stain on it, reconsidering buying it now :D

Zandersig if you can clean up your Connect they're still going for good money on ebay, end your headaches now....

But its a nexus device ;) No need to worry about LG (or the carriers) harassing the software or the phone since it comes directly from google.

Personally I'm going to wait until the new Nexus 4 & Moto X come out and leave Metro, that way I can better choose a phone. The S4 is too large and the One is missing the bloody menu button. I mean ffs, if you aren't going for onscreen buttons, make sure that you have all the touch buttons up to par!
