Man so many of us would like to have a window into your world
but back on topic, my lady is getting the note lte because gman gave me all the info I needed to know if it was to work. and me getting Motorola's device if its priced niced or not nice if it has great spec and QWERTY keyboard

Probably right here.

Someone said BYOD to go live everywhere this week.

Someone else said next month.

I'd vote for the middle of next month at the same time they release the GSM S4 for Metro.

I think (amongst other reasons) the 4 cities on BYOD now are cities they've Already Fully Finished the network refarming on. THAT'S part of why the other cities Aren't getting BYOD now because they're still refarming their networks there.

And I GUARANTEE this information to be worth 100 times what you paid for it or your full purchase price will be happily refunded! :D

Byod for some will be next month rolling out to other markets, while other markets will be in august. For Florida one of my source tells me August the other next month so let's see

from what carrier are you getting the Note LTE from? AT&T?
 
guys forgive me if this is a stupid question alright? i just wanted to know the gsm phones won't be able to use metro's 4g lte right? i'm asking this because there is certain spots where TMobile 4g lte have not touch yet but metro has.

Oh yes, I posted its bands Gman said would work, but the hspa would only work in re-framed areas then I asked how do we know which area's had been re-framed he dropped that list too and wouldn't you know it a stock note lte would work for me, plus in the note lte forums there have been reports of t-mobile lte on pure stock models. they are looking very affordable on swappa right now

This is a very good question, one that will be difficult to get a straight answer for.

The reason I say that is because from my understanding metro's LTE is on the AWS band, which is the same as t mo's, however in a few markets metro does not have any aws spectrum so those markets they used lte on the pcs band.

So to go on with the question, metro phones currently use aws lte but tmo has not rolled out lte in every market yet. so if you have a gsm phone that has lte on the aws band and a metro sim you should pick up lte no problem, metros own lte, but it will depend on how metro doles out the sims.

from my understanding and looking at the specs of the AT&T Note their phone isnt compatible for T-Mo's LTE spectrum which uses 1700/2100. AT&T uses 1900/2100 Mhz LTE spectrum for theiir phones, that being said, you will not find a 1700 Mhz band on any of AT&T's yester-year phones....the optimus g pro, lumia, note 2, SGS 4 and those 3 new compatible on metro's website are but a few of the only phones that can harness the power of LTE on T-mo... you will only be able to use HSPA+

No as you can see the note, as well as all of att phones lte is run on the 1700/2100 as well as their normal 700. They do this because a few of their markets they dont have the 700 spectrum but they do have AWS

so that means Tmobile gsm phones can get metropcs 4g lte, but att phones can't. correct?

But the lte model of the s3 for tmobile runs the same bands i thinkmaybe a few more.

ok so the real question here is WILL metro let the gsm phones have access to their LTE. For right now metro is letting the gsm phones get TMobile 4g lte or hspa+ correct?

Actually dont forget metro's own 4g lte, which runs on the same aws band that tmo does.
At least in most markets.
Since tmo is the merger partner and tmo is running with hspa + and lte both available its a chance that metro will too, however that could be the differentiation between the 2, to help keep tmo subscribers.

That's what i was asking you :p will metro let the gsm phones have access to their own (metro pcs) 4g since it runs on the same aws band. i guess will just have to wait to find out.

While we will have to wait and see, it would make sense that they do, I know by the time they get everything worked out, and cdma shut off, 2015 they will have both tmo and metro subscribers running on the combined lte networks.
it will be like straight talk tmobile you pay straight talk but you use tmo's towers.

These will all be tmo/metro towers.

yea it would make sense for them to do that because like i said there are certain areas where tmobile lte is not on. like I'm in Miami now but i'm moving to Georgia in 2 months, tmobile don't have lte in the area i'm going to but metro does. that's why they should allow the gsm phones have access to their (metro pcs) lte.

your leaving miami at a bad time, tmo lte just deploying metro will be able to use that lte spectrum.:p

They have already said metro subscribers will be able to use tmo lte to make metro faster and have more lte coverage.
