I ordered the phone through my company's Verizon sales dude...we got 4 this morning for different employees...when we received the shipping notification, we reached out to him and he was as confused as we were...

Maybe they give some super secret preferential treatment to corporate sales guys... or he has super powers. one or the other. :D
 
Yes, they are. BUT, the one big problem I've found so far is that Google Voice will NOT work with Google Apps. I almost never use my Gmail account, but it's the one with my GV account. To kludge this all together, it looks like I'm going to have to set up my Google Apps account, my Gmail account, and come up with a way to sync the address books.

I wish they would let me transfer my GV account to my Apps domain. That would solve all my problems.

This is indeed a royal pain.

What I do every few weeks is to export my contacts list from my Apps account and import it into my Google Voice account (after deleting all GV contacts prior to import).

This works well enough and the groups carry over perfectly. The only thing I then need to do in GV is to make any specific changes to individual contacts (as in blocking annoying people) or groups.
 
Just placed my order, yay!

Anyone who used a credit/debit card had their card charged yet? Do they charge you when it ships or when the order goes through and they confirm everything?

Also, how do you activate the phone when you get it. I don't want to have to go into the store just to use it.
 
So now the question in my head is... Does one try and cancel the on-line order they placed and try their hand at calling a CSR and see if they too will slip up and send out an Incredible now. What to do... what to do. :confused:

I ordered online and not through a CSR!!!! however the tracking number is blank....
 
nice thing with people getting their early incredibles is that we now have a source to get all those burning questions answered and get some real world
reviews ....that is if any of these people ever visit this forum again (probably be too busy playing with their incredibles) ;)

oh and congrats to all who get the phone early!

phone ordering seems to be shut down... i was going to cancel my online order AFTER i placed an order over the phone, but two different CSR's told me i could only place an order thru myverizon.com. they wouldn't do any pre-orders over the phone.
 
Congrats to the guy that got his phone already, but I'm flipping out over here knowing that someone got the phone that *I* want a week+ early. I'm going out of town this week where I'll have no internet / computer access without a phone, I really need the phone NOW.
 
I ordered mine through a corp rep too but I haven't heard or seen anything yet. :( Hopefully I'll come back from lunch and it'll be sitting there on my desk.
 
and i got the awaiting approval message, i checked a third time and got this:

very weird, checked again, and again getting approval message.
 
ok who else is calling verizon and pitching a fit that they dont have their phone today!!

OK, seriously, no one should be pitching a fit. As long as people get their phones by the date they were promised, they have no right to complain. If a few people got lucky, benefitted from VZW's screw-up and got their phones early, good for them. But that is nothing for anyone else to gripe about. Don't be a jag about someone else's good fortune. Just look forward to enjoying your phone when you get it.

Congrats man! Did you bill to your account or pay by credit card?

How is tax only $10.31? I thought they tax based on the full retail price ($529.00)

I live in California and I got charged $51.67 sales tax based on the retail price. But I don't begrudge 'em--California needs the money. Between the unemployed and the millionaires, nobody's paying state income tax and the place is going to hell...have to repave the streets with firm tofu :p

I tried to order it from my Corp person for VZW and they told me that they couldn't order it till the 29th?
